    Mercure Bristol Holland House

    Highly recommended hotel, with comfortable rooms, well equiped en-suite, and extensive facilities. However, for long distance travellers the advertised car parking is a major problem since being made 'public access' meaning hotel customers are unable to park. On this visit I was only able to park one night out of three, which is not acceptable for a hotel that claims parking for residents.

    Room size was satisfactory,appeared clean and tidy. Pool was reasonably nice, however the changing room was very warm and stuffy, also found it difficult to get rid of the smell of chlorine from the pool despite having two showers and thoroughly rinsing swimwear. Television in room didn’t work on arrival and despite four phone calls to reception and two visits by maintenance this issue persisted. I clearly explained the problem, but this didn’t appear to have been understood.

    The hotel is big, with a great presentation, nice reception and a big restaurant. The decor is great, the rooms clean, really nice bed for sleeping and the buffet breakfast was fantastic with a huge range of choice.
