      ledgelawn cabin

Our stay was fun and relaxing and the area quite peaceful, excellent for kayacking - Jon the owner was very accommodating - However the property is not on the ocean as indicated by "oceanfront cottage" but on the river which is very different. The access by land and dock was very good but the driveway was extremely steep to walk up and down with bad hips! One bedroom upstairs had the bathroom in it leaving little privacy for those who used that room, but it was nice having a bathroom at night near the bedrooms. wifi coverage was very good and those we met in the neighborhood were very friendly

        Two week summer vacation 2019

Beautiful spot on the New Meadows River, spectacular views, easy kayak launching, convenient to Bath and Brunswick. Rustic cottage with quirky charms, pet friendly, large bedrooms and working washer/dryer upstairs. Thankful for AC in the master as our weather was hot, plenty of fans, well stocked kitchen, very responsive owners. Great vacation! Chris, Sheryl, and family.

Rustic Maine cottage w/convenient water access

This is a rustic Maine cottage that sits above the New Meadow River. The driveway drops steeply to the waterfront where there are chairs to relax in as you look out over the river. Beautiful views, great sunsets. My kids loved looking for crabs, shells and sea glass at low tide. Note: pay attention to tide charts as you plan your excursions. There is a 2nd cottage right on the river, so there could be other people. Jon is very nice and helpful. As previpusly stated the house is rustic, but has what you need for an enjoyable stay. Master bedroom is large with an air conditioner and 1/2 bath. House has easy access to Rt 1. We enjoyed our stay. Property is as described.

          4/5 Good

            Beautiful location.

Access to water was great. Everything was supplied that we needed. Jon and his wife were very helpful.

            4/5 Good

A beautiful setting with great places to kayak.

Jon provided excellent directions and a wam welcome when we arrived. There is a rather steep hill going down to the river, but we were able to take the car down to unload and load the kayaks. Walking the hill was a boost to my legs. Given the mosquitoes, we missed having a screened porch, but otherwise had everything we needed, plus the comfort of knowing that Jon was available by phone if we needed him. It was also nice to be able to include our “grand dog” on our vacation! Thanks for the hospitality!
