I stayed there on two separate occasions while in Boise on business in November 2019. Overall the hotel was nice, not perfect but nice. The room was decent-sized. Décor, furnishing, and ambiance in the room was up to date (although I’m not sure about the flame red curtains). The corridor was a bit dated. The bathroom was pretty nice, two sinks. The lobby was very spacious and relaxing. Unfortunately they offer only free coffee in the morning; no free breakfast. The exercise room was decent sized, but the equipment was old and the bicycle didn’t even work. Lastly, a small but telling indicator of a hotel's overall quality... a plastic or glass drinking cup in the room. You’d think if you were paying about $100 per night you’d at least get a real glass drinking cup. Sadly, Red Lion gives you ... the cheap plastic version, which is a little surprisingly given that the hotel has banquet and restaurant facilities. All in all, would I stay there again?: Probably, especially if they could update the exercise room, offer free breakfast, and put glass drinking cups in the room.
