The house was generally as advertised. There is a lot of room inside and on the two large decks. There is no cable TV but there are multiple TVs with Roku units attached. There is no yard for outdoor activities since it sits on a steep hillside. Our biggest complaint was the communication with the owner. We never were able to connect via telephone and all the email communications seemed to be automated messages. This caused some confusion the first night since we were told to contact the owner before we arrived so that the alarm could be disarmed. We only received voice mails when we called. So we decided to open the door anyways and fortunately the alarm had already been disarmed. No problem; just some confusion. That was not the case on Saturday night when we returned to the house and tripped the alarm that apparently had been activated. We could not shut it off so we called the three telephone contact numbers provided. No one responded. We called ADT and they said we should have been give a code to turn off the alarm. We checked all the rental correspondence for a code and found none. The police showed up, quickly determined we were not intruders, and then tried to help us deactivate it. They were also surprised that we were not given a code and looked through the material with us. After more than an hour of listening to a shrieking alarm we finally worked it out with ADT to disable it. We never heard back from the owner - either that night or the following day. If we didn't have the issue with the alarm, our stay would have rated 3-4 stars.
