    Completely renovated in 2016, this circa 1914 South Hill Gem features 4 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Luxury furnishings and high-end finishes include Quartz counter tops, white subway mosaic tile, and original VG Fir Floors. Kitchen features a dining nook, and stainless steel appliances. Living room has 2 large sofas, a 50 inch smart TV, DVD player, and Limited Basic Cable with local broadcast stations (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS). Dining room with a side board for serving. One bedroom on the main floor with a queen bed and three additional bedrooms upstairs. Full bath with tiled walk-in shower on main floor. Laundry room/half bath with a washer/dryer plus laundry sink and toilet on main floor. Huge covered front porch with 2 benches and chairs. Back entrance of home has a picnic table. Off street parking, parking space behind home - alley parking. One block from Taylor Street Dock and the entrance to Boulevard Park featuring Woods Coffee. South Bay Trail leads to Fairhaven with the many shops and restaurants and continues to Downtown Bellingham. The Chrysalis Spa is one block from home and restaurant Keenan's at the Pier. Also within walking distance is the Bellingham Cruise Terminal host to Amtrak (service to Portland, Seattle and Vancouver, BC), the Alaska Ferry, the Community Boating Center with kayaks, sailboats and paddle boards for rent, Marine Park and Fairhaven Bicycle for bike rentals. For the avid trail seekers, the Interurban Trail, a Rail Trail that spans 6.6 miles from Fairhaven to Larrabee State Park, is 6 blocks south as well as Fairhaven Park and Larrabee State Park. Some of the most sought-after hikes are off if Chuckanut Drive including Fragrance Lake Trailhead and Oyster Dome Trailhead. Chuckanut Drive is one of the most scenic drives south of Bellingham and lands you in the historic town of Edison. Off Chuckanut you will find Larrabee State Park with more hiking and biking as well as beautiful Clayton Beach.

      Wonderful House with lots of Character

      We stayed here for family weekend at WWU.could not have asked for a better place to stay. The house was immaculate and they have thought of everything you could possibly need or want. The location in Fairhaven is also super convenient. Thanks for a great stay!

        Makes you feel right at home

        Beautiful home. Awesome living area and kitchen. Limited cable. We tried watching a CD but had no luck. Instructions on this and a channel guide would be nice. Completely renovated older home. Because of the age the stairs were creaky and steep. The handrail did not extend to the top step. Owner agreed to adding a nightlight as all bathrooms are downstairs so getting down them during the night is tricky. Loved the location. Loved the boardwalk which was a block away. Beautiful area!

            Our family of five enjoyed visiting Bellingham

            We walked a lot to Fairhaven from this house and Wood’s coffee. My 93 yr old mother stayed in the nice downstairs bedroom and we thoroughly enjoyed the homey atmosphere of this rental. Perhaps a better coffee maker would be nice but we had everything we needed!

              Buttercup is a treasure

              Walkable to coffee, jaw dropping views and cute shops within 5 minutes. We stayed with two kids and two seniors and all of us had a wonderful time. Location could not be more perfect. Thoughtful details and well appointed kitchen. Buttercup is a true find!
