"I usually stay at Embassy Suites due to their great free breakfast options and afternoon happy hours. This place had less of a selection but was still better than the free breakfasts many places have of just cereal and pancakes. Was good to get scrambled eggs and bacon and sausage."

"We chose this location for our family to gather for some time together and to view the eclipse. Heather is an amazing host. This beautiful property is welcoming and comfortable while also filled with antiques and art pieces from around the world. There are interesting things to see on every wall and around each corner. Comfortable beds and nice areas to sit. The kitchen is a dream both for cooking and as a gathering place. It is well stocked with all manner of pots, pans and cooking gadgets as well as pantry items. It was mud season in Vermont so we weren't able to take advantage of the lake but if you are coming at a different time, there is apparently good fishing. It still provided a beautiful view. There are also plenty of things to do in the surrounding area. Communication with our host was very prompt and easy. My only recommendation to guests who want to explore is to bring and "old fashioned" GPS. The house has solid internet but the cell coverage on the surrounding roads is intermittent. I would love to return!"

"Service is fantastic, room is clean, and beds are comfortable. Otherwise, the experience was quite utilitarian. The room has a mini-fridge and microwave, but no furniture beyond an end table, a TV stand/desk, and a plastic chair. Then again, most people don't visit the NEK to work in their motel room all day :-)"

"We had an amazing experience starting with the setting and lodging. The cozy cabin on the peninsula point on Lake Eden is lovely and the views and the cabin were wonderful. We had a stellar view of the eclipse. The lake was still frozen with fresh snow on top which added to the magical experience. Jim is a great host and quick answer to questions.
