Ideally located between Acadia National Park’s Schoodic Peninsula and Mt Desert Island, your serene cottage has private access to an unspoiled coast with wonderful views of Frechman Bay and Cadillac Mountain. Explore all the beauty of Acadia National Park, climb local mountains, kayak the Mt Desert Narrows or just watch the tides and mountains from your private deck! Breathe in the salty coast air as you arrive at Water’s Edge. Marvel at the natural beauty of the coastline as you unpack before stepping outside to take in the true beauty of Downeast Maine. With a furnished deck and gas grill, cool summer days can be spent barbecuing outside as the loons drift by and seals bask on nearby rocks. Inside, the home offers an open-concept living area with vaulted ceilings and comfortable seating. This 2-bedroom, 1 bath home has water views from every room. Downstairs has the bedrooms, living room, bath and kitchen. The master has a king bed, while the other bedroom has a queen bed. Upstairs is a loft with full bed and futon. It's a great set-up for a multigenerational family with the older generations downstairs and the younger upstairs. The large deck off the living room allows for outdoor dining and socializing all while enjoying ever-changing tides. Hancock and Gouldsboro have several fine restaurants to enjoy. Ellsworth is just 15 minutes away for shopping and additional dining options. Feel like dining inside? A well-equipped kitchen sits right off the living area. You can whip up your favorite recipes, while enjoying the ocean’s quiet serenity. Enjoy quality time with your loved ones and friends as you dig in. Water’s Edge Cottage - Just 27 miles to Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island, 20 miles to Acadia NP’s Schoodic Peninsula (the real gem of Acadia), 3 miles to Tidal Falls. Enjoy easy access to beaches, marinas, restaurants, shops, and more! Airport: Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport - 115 Caruso Drive, Trenton, ME is only 18 miles away Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage and the land surrounding it. There is private parking for four cars in in front of the house. There are two kayaks on the property available for guest use. The cottage is not handicap accessible. The upstairs loft contains a full bed and futon with spiral stair access that is not appropriate for small children or people with mobility issues. Other things to note The maximum number of guests is 6 in the cottage. Children over 12 months old at the time of rental are counted as guests.

      Perfect spot to enjoy a peaceful vacay

      We chose this property hoping it would be a place that would not only be a peaceful Maine retreat on the water but also central enough to allow us to enjoy some of the best that Maine has to offer on the area of Bar Harbor and Acadia. And we were right! The home not only had a killer view in a peaceful area but the home was comfortable and fully appreciated. Thank you to Dean for providing this respite to us. Laurie & Brenda, WI

            Wish we had longer!

            The house was amazing...especially if you’re looking to unwind! Views for days and a setup that really maximized those views from each room. Great location as well... 45ish minute drive to the Park and several lobster options nearby. We look forward to returning one day!

              Beautiful

              My wife and I came for a three night stay in September. Photos don’t do it justice. Beautiful views and quiet area. Saw deer, rabbits and a visit from a seal. Our stay was perfect. Definitely coming back!
