    About this property

Relaxing Efficiency Apartment in Bar Harbor on 2 Acre of Woods

Enjoy our quiet secluded location just a short drive from the town of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. A one bedroom (queen size bed), one bathroom efficiency apartment above our garage with its own private entrance. Our street is very quiet and off the Peggy Rockafeller farm and surrounded by mature oak and maple trees making for a very relaxing location. Deer and wild turkeys frequent our yard daily and a welcome addition to morning coffee on the patio, or in the hammock in the backyard! We welcome families and children! We are 6 miles from Bar Harbor’s shopping, restaurants and main attractions and an equal distance to the beautiful Somesville, Maine and western side of Acadia National Park. Easy, quick access to Eagle Lake Carriage Roads (4 miles) and Park Loop Road (5 miles) makes for easy access to the rest of Acadia National Park. We are a great resource for suggestions and planning your vacation in Bar Harbor and Acadia and look forward to you experiencing the best of our beautiful island! Owners live on property with their family and dog. We share the mud room wall and give you the utmost privacy. Please note the bathroom has a beautiful bear claw tub to soak in and a shower attachment that can be tight for taller people. 6 foot men have had no problem but if a guest has mobility issues we want to be clear about this ahead of time (photos are included).

      Great place- Exactly as described

This property was exactly as described. Excellent location for trips into Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Private setting, comfortable room with just enough kitchen options. We very much appreciated the welcome gift of coffee and blueberry jam (plus a bonus of some recently picked apples). My husband and I would definitely stay here again if we are fortunate enough to return to Maine. Acadia, with the ocean and mountains, is absolutely gorgeous.

      5/5 Excellent

        Didn't want to leave.

Privacy is always top of the priority list, followed by location. This stay had both! It was beautiful, quite, and was only 10 minutes from bar harbor! The hosts were accommodating, and nice to talk to. If I'm ever in the area again, I know where I'll be staying!

        5/5 Excellent

          Acadia getaway

Great place to stay that is away from the bustle of town but still close and easy access to the park and surrounding areas. Very friendly people and just a great place to stay. Has everything you could possibly need.

          5/5 Excellent

            Perfect quiet Acadia getaway

The property was terrific. Our hosts were amazing and helpful. Their guidebook was useful and accurate with great restaurant suggestions. We could not have been more pleased with this experience. Thank you for a great place to stay close to Acadia!

              Best Vacation Apartment

I can’t Thank Jennifer enough for providing us with this cozy quaint apartment that was literally minutes away from everything we wanted to see. The pictures don’t do this apartment justice either, it’s alot bigger than you think. She greeted us shortly after our arrival with fresh coffee, and we had the pleasure of meeting her adorable children and Roscoe (our fur baby) had the opportunity to get acquainted with Lucky (their lab) The apartment was the cleanest Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at, and supplied with everything you’d need... even stuff to make pancakes:)) Honestly my best vacation and hope to make it back to Bar Harbor with hopes of bothering Jennifer and her crew again. Sincerely, Christina Hornick Charlotte, NC
