It is not unusual to frequently see bald eagles, harbor seals and a wide cross section of bird species flying about, all seen from the privacy of the back lawn. Kayak rentals are available for delivery to the home, and are easily dropped in from the backyard. Take a stroll in the morning down to the shore with a cup of coffee, and in August pick wild blueberries on property for your breakfast pancakes. A week in paradise

What a wonderful place. Tracey made the check in so easy and was so helpful with giving us ideas for places to go. The place was absolutely beautiful and a perfect location. So peaceful. If I ever make it back to Maine I would definitely stay here again

          Beautiful Tidal Ledge

What an amazing 5 weeks we spent at Tidal Ledge. The perfect cozy cottage. Beautiful views of the ever changing tidal falls. Wonderful kitchen, including my favorite Staub pan along with other great cookware and tableware. If you are considering this fabulous property do not hesitate for one moment to book. Tracey is a gracious host and her home is everything you could ask for....We loved our time and hope to return again..and again...and again.

          5/5 Excellent

PERFECT LOCATION! Shore line property with amazing views and wildlife. Acadia an easy drive away.

Wonderful property. The spacious deck was awesome for coffee and gatherings. Cute kitchen with all the necessities and more. High quality towels & bed linens were a real treat. And the washer/dryer combo was very convenient to have. Tracey has thought of everything a vacationer might need— including firewood, Weber grill, bug spray, corn hole & other games, binoculars (LOTS of wildlife to see), flash light for the yard, nice cable TV set up, and super comfy furniture inside and out. The most memorable aspect of this VRBO is the ever-changing Tidal Falls — the water flow and currents are always so fascinating to watch. It was a very relaxing vacation. And the location was very convenient to a wide variety of nearby day-trip destinations and nearby restaurants. THANKS, Tracey! We hope to come stay again. Sincerely, Meyer family University City, MO

Peaceful, private, comfortable, clean and surrounded by nature!

My husband, sons and I enjoyed a summer week at Tidal Ledge. We were looking to spend a lot of time hiking, visiting family in Sorrento, exploring Acadia and eating tons of local seafood. This house is in a great location between Mount Desert Island and Schoodic Peninsula. Lots of hiking close to Hancock as well. And great local places to buy lobster, antiques and other necessities in Ellsworth. In addition to experiencing all of that, we wanted to relax "at home" in a comfortable, clean, well stocked house. Tidal Ledge delivered. The house was very comfortable, the owner provided many necessities you might not expect of a weekly rental, like great cotton sheets and towels and little things you might have forgotten to pack. Everything was clean and we could enjoy so much nature just staying put. We saw otters and crabs and starfish at low tide, sampled the mussels, were visited repeatedly by hummingbirds and bald eagles. The view is ever changing with the tide and clouds, sun and sunsets. The only thing I would recommend if you go in the summer is fans. We had an unexpectedly hot, humid week and the bedrooms did not have ceiling or other fans. Other than that, I can imagine it is perfectly comfortable with cooler and even cold weather.
