This home features a spacious living room, a full kitchen, and an outdoor deck that provide all the comforts of home in a serene setting. You can even head right down the road to relax and unwind on the quiet neighborhood beach. What's nearby: Mount Desert Island features many recreational pursuits, including world-class hiking and kayaking. The island's crown jewel is the stunning expanse of Acadia National Park, which offers 125 miles of trails and 45 miles of carriage roads across 47,000 acres. One of the most iconic Acadia experiences is to climb to the summit of Cadillac Mountain, which can be reached via the South Ridge Trail three miles northeast. Head eight miles north to explore the restaurants and shops of charming downtown Bar Harbor. A picturesque drive east will bring you to the "quiet side" of the island, where the communities of Mount Desert, Southwest Harbor, and Tremont offer galleries, boutiques, and tranquil glimpses of everyday life.         Nice place to stay

        It was all as advertised but now has wifi too so a plus there. its set back from the road so quiet has terrific access to the park and a short walk to a small town center with a few shops and a nice beach for walking. its about 15 min from bar harbor which was a plus in august as bar harbor is super trafficky then. would stay there again
