Fantastic place. Cathleen met us when we got there and showed us around. Where everything was and how things worked. The house was great and she was delightful. She made sure we had her number if we needed anything but we did not need to bother her. She wrote on the white board there with all sorts of information about what's going on in town, places to eat, etc. That was great, thank you. She was even ok with me plugging in my electric car while we stayed there.
The dock (pictured with the seats, table and umbrella) is awesome. That and Adirondack chairs everywhere, great places to sit and enjoy the view. Any time of the day you can find shade to sit and enjoy, there is plenty of trees. Grab your morning coffee and sit outside and relax. Or your hot chocolate/adult beverage in the evening. It's a perfect setting.
They provide 3 kayaks and a canoe and enough life jackets for everyone. We used them every day. The kids fished off the dock every day as well, even caught some nice fish. After exploring Williams Pond, I think she has the nicest property on that lake.
We come up to Maine for a family reunion every year. Over the last decade we have stayed at a new place every time. Downtown Bar Harbor, Sebec Lake, Long Pond (on MDI), etc. Every year looking for a new place to try. Every place we have been has been fine, but there was always a "I wish it was on the water" or "I wish we had more room" or "I wish it was closer to the X", but this is the first place we have stayed that everyone in the family said "We would come back to this place again". It's close enough to things (Bangor, Bucksport, Acadia) so if you want to go and do something, it's not too bad. But we enjoyed our days just hanging around the property.
I would recommend this place to anyone. It's quiet. The lake is calm and beautiful. The house is great. Cathleen was very accommodating and helpful. What's not to love?
