"Sugar Cane and Spa was amazing! We took the all inclusive package and the food and drinks were incredible far better than most. It is definitely an older crowd and in a quieter area of the island but that did not bother us and it is not impossible to get around if you feel like exploring . The Hotel offers a free bus shuttle to the secluded and beautiful Heywoods Beach and Speightstown where they stop at a larger bus terminal that can take most places on the island. That being said not much is walkable, but if you’re just looking to unwind for a few days and escape the busier areas Sugar Cane is for you! We did not have a chance to use the spa services but they looked lovely and we really enjoyed the pool and Gully Walk. Amazing resort grounds and awesome staff would go back tomorrow! "

"This was a very clean and beautiful villa. The staff was extremely kind and caring. Loved the extras in the room like bug spray, mosquito netting, books and everything you would need in the kitchen. Was a beautiful view of both the ocean and interior gardens. Will stay again. Fishpot restaurant was fantastic and sunset was spectacular."

"Our party of 9 women thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for us. Rooms were very comfortable. When we weren't out enjoying the island, we spent time on the outside patios or in the pool. In the evening, we played cards in the upstairs living area with all the windows and doors open to enjoy the evening breeze. The sunsets were awesome. The property manager was there to greet us when we arrived and was most helpful if we needed anything during our stay. We highly recommend using the services of Lindrey (chef) and Dorius (housekeeper). We decided we didn't want to be driving at night so we had all our evening meals at the villa. Lindrey's meals were restaurant quality. We had a bar-b-que outside in the gazebo one evening. He also made us breakfast every morning before we set out on our days' adventures. And it was great to come home to a very clean home, courtesy of Dorius. We walked to the nearby beach and visited Kelman's market multiple times for snacks, beverages and other necessities. During the winter, there is not much of a beach near the house; it is always high tide. But a 5-minute drive down the road there's a great public beach where we spent the day. The location of the villa may be a disadvantage to some, but we prefer to be outside the big cities and away from the noise and busyness in order to relax. Would definitely recommend this home and would stay here again."

"The people in Barbados are friendly and helpful. Dorothy and Heather at the property were wonderful, helpful and kind. It is a quiet part of Barbados and the beach and property is very well kept and comfortable."

"Overall had a fantastic time. The owners were very helpful, efficient and friendly. The property and facilities were great if a little tired. A few of downsides were that as my parents, who were on the trip with me and are elderly, it would have been nice if the lift had worked instead of having four flights of stairs to climb, the property was very hot and we had no aircon, only fans, this meant we had to have doors open at night as the heat was intense and as result we were bitten by mossies a lot, lastly, the property is quite remote which was great for peace and quiet but it meant long road trips on incredibly bad and potholed roads if you wanted to head south to Bridgetown and the beaches. Close to Speightstown and Mullins tho. All that said, i would recommend Vuemont as the positives far outwayed the negatives."
