"Horton at the check-in was very nice and helpful on the 19th as was the wait staff in the restaurant on the 20th and the maid service who helped me find a more comfortable pillow that day. The artwork is interesting. I had been sent an email from the hotle saying that a special experience of a bourbon tasting. I asked upon check-in about this and was told that they were out of the cards but that all I needed to do was to ask about this at the bar and the samples would be provided. So that evening I did so. The bartender told me that t was no longer available. He was very rude to me. I told him that it had been confirmed upon my checking in and asked to speak to his manager. The manager was even worse saying that it was no longer available and asking me who had told me about it. He headed off to chastise the front desk clerk. About 15 minutes later when we were so embarrassed about waiting so long and were ready to leave, he returned with four little cards for the bourbon samples. He apologized but in a rather curt fashion. I cannot imagine that such a lovely hotel would have such a head bartender with such poor people skills. Other than that pretty awful experience, our stay was fine. The Eggs Benedict for breakfast by the way were excellent. I hope to return but will avoid the bar in the evening."
