"We arrived at the hotel and mentioned that we were there to celebrate a birthday and were immediately given a glass of fizz each. The room was great with good facilities and was very comfortable. The staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming. We had intended to walk into town for dinner but having seen the menu (and the special on cocktails) we decided to eat in and it was superb! We had the fish on the sharing boards and it was huge and delicious and far bigger than we expected. We definitely will visit again both the hotel and restaurant are worth a detour when we are close. "

"What an amazing find in rural Herefordshire. We just needed a bed for the night, but got a whole lot more: a wonderful welcome from the barman who was aware of my disabled friend’s requirements, and nothing was too much trouble for him; a table reserved for dinner next to the accessible door; a lovely accessible bedroom with external step free access; spotlessly clean with relevant adaptations to the bathroom including a seat in the shower; tasty pub food served efficiently and with a smile, and to cap it all 4 different local Wye Valley real ales on tap served in this traditional pub full of friendly locals. We will definitely return!"

"The ancient building was what I wanted -- sloping floors, beams, complicated corridors. I love this sort of old inn. Being in the centre of the town was perfect for sightseeing and exploring, especially when one doesn't have a car."

"Exceptional customer service from every member of the team. It was clear that they were motivated to help. The venue offers one of the best relaxed spa (affordable) experiences compared to others that I have had. For example compared to where you are given a time slot and the facilities have not always been as good this venue is not restrictive on how long you want to spend on your 'wellbeing' in the spa. I would go back without hesitation. Highly recommend to others. Shout out to Chloe who was amazing looking after us at dinner and Ollie a superstar"
