Spacious Caribbean villa-style suites in a romantic vacation setting await you at Point Pleasant Resort, one of our fine families of St. Thomas resorts from Antilles Resorts. Relax on Pineapple Beach, adjacent to our shoreline, or discover the secluded Sugar Beach at the end of the nature trail in our 15-acre island preserve. Three intimate pools and sun decks are nestled among the lush hillside, hidden high above the horizon. Casual waterfront dining daily at Jack's. Many other dining options (five minutes drive) in Red Hook. For water sports and fun, we include complimentary snorkel gear, kayaks, and offer introductory scuba lessons, along with a complimentary property shuttle.

There is also a sundry facility in the guest services area where you can purchase breakfast items, snacks and beverages of all types.

St. Thomas has been a shopping Mecca since the late 1600s and, for a period in the early 1700s, the island was a a pirate refuge for notorious buccaneers and, by 1800, Charlotte Amalie was one of the busiest ports and trading centers in the Caribbean. Today, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas is a choice port of call among the cruise lines and a popular Virgin Island vacation destination. It is the United State's Caribbean's major cruise port and king of all duty-free shopping destinations. Bargain hunters are spurred on by the sheer variety of merchandise. In addition to the colorful street vendors and the dockside Havensight Mall in renovated old West Indian Company buildings, there are charming shops in the lanes between the waterfront and Maine Street.

The Virgin Island climate is tropical with wonderful average winter daytime temperatures of 78 degrees F. and summer daytime temperatures of about 82 degrees F.

Traditional taxis are available, As an alternative, Caribbean taxis are available everywhere. These charming vehicles are a cross between bus and private car: multiple passengers share rides, and enjoy an expert's (the driver) rendition of a mini tour of whatever part of the island the ride covers. Drivers are available for hire -by the hour or day- for a more extensive private guided excursion. If you decide to rent a car, be prepared to drive on the left side of the road - English style!

The hotel features the following amenities: A/C, cable, TV, ceiling fan, tennis courts, hairdryer, tour assistance, concierge services, restaurants, free parking, wedding services, bar-lounge, full kitchen, rollaway beds, microwave, housekeeping, cribs, free local calls, Internet wireless access, in-room safe and voicemail.

Point Pleasant

We were a little nervous not having been to st. thomas before, but the staff helped us out greatly. Gave us ideas where to go what to see, and when to see it. We actually were given a coupon for 16$ off a ride in the area. Told us great snorkeling spots.

The area can be hilly, and taxi rides can be expensive. I highly recommend renting a car, It was actually cheaper and could go and do what we wanted.

Great views, great location

The rooms here are like little island villas, with lots of glass and open spaces, and perched above Sugar Bay with great views of the islands. Close to Redhook and easy to get to either the north or south side of the island. The staff are friendly, courteous, and helpful.

Worst Hotel Experiance Ever!!!!!!!

I tried checking in after 6PM. the guard at the front was friendly, but had no idea what was going on. I guess the Front Desk Closes after 5PM... What Kind of Hotel closes the front desk... Where was the Manager On Duty.... after 30 Minutes of waiting for someone to come back, not even an employee of the Hotel, but the one across the way, came over to set me up in my room. The Room was nice, AC non existent. NO WIFI... like advertised. The following morning, I was about a minute into my shower, WITH NO HOT WATER, when the water just stopped. trying to check out, at 7:30AM... the front desk still closed. as i was driving out to give the key to the guy at the gate, he said the car that just went up was the Front Desk Staff. I will never stay there again. Worst Hotel Experience ever.

Perfect for a quiet getaway

I stayed in an ocean view unit down near the water. The room was spacious, clean, and open, with 3 large sliding glass doors on two sides, with a balcony outside them that looked over Water Bay and east to St. John and Tortola. Great breezes, too. It's set up with a nice kitchenette and dining area. The setup is "condo style", and you can drive to your unit and park there. You can be self-sufficient, stocking the kitchen with the basics, and still easily head off the property to eat if you'd like. Red Hook is 5 minutes away. The property has a path to a private little beach around the rock bend from Sugar Bay. There is also a restaurant /bar Jack's down on the water. Good food and fun. My unit did not have internet access available, and I understand that it is not available everywhere, although you can go to the activities center (the lobby/registration area) and connect there. Otherwise, bring a hotspot and you should be fine.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Go to the restaurant "Thirteen" up on the north side on Hwy 33 (Crown Mountain Road). A little pricey, but very, very good food.

Great location, poor customer service

Beautiful location and view. Very rustic. There is a great little private beach, and the restaurants are pretty good. No breakfast options. Rooms are large, and (mostly) clean, but outdated. We had very little hot water until complaining twice. We got it on out third day. There were long hairs on the bathroom wall when we checked in, and they were still there until our third day, despite housekeeping having made up our room. There is hardly any customer service available as the activities desk is usually empty, and the front desk is not very pleasant. I would hesitate to return to this property.

Some good some bad

I just went for a long weekend, to relax, use the hotel facilities, and the complimentary kayaks and snorkel gear. I found that my late check-in was a problem (just 9 pm). No staff at the front desk, and had to wait for quite a while for a security person to show up and help me find my room. The second night my AC didn't work and I couldn't find anyone to help, so spent an uncomfortable second night. wireless was only available in the lobby, not in the rooms. My room was nice, right on the ocean, clean, plenty of towels, cable TV, and a convenient full kitchen, but nothing fancy.

You'll get a great workout

The pictures of the rooms were deceiving at first. The view though is amazing no matter where you are at the resort. You'll get a great workout climbing up hills and steps. But you get used to it. The staff and info book was very helpful, and would stay there again definately.

Money-saving tip: Long walk from hotel

Take the dollar bus everywhere. And the beachs are in brief walking distances.
