Great location, very friendly staff
Our 3rd time staying there. Excellent staff, great service. However, the choice of room was a little disappointment due to "not specify city view" on the request. We paid for the deluxe suite, but got the "junior suite" instead.

Nice hotel... great location.... Breakfast buffet is a wonderful bonus... rooftop lounge is also nice. Pool could be better ...would be nice to have more chairs available and towels should be available at poolside ( you have to go to the gym to get the towels) staff is nice and rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. I had a Rex Suite which was quite nice.

Best place. Great central lovation
Best place. Great central lovation close to everything. This hotel has real old world character in a modern renovated hotel. We were given free uphrase to Rex room and late check out. We had prev stayed at the Oscar and the Rex is by far superior in every way. Loved it and would def recommend. Only down point was the music bellowing in public areas frOm very early, 6.3O I was woken. Not my idea of a great start to the say. Otherwise, fantastic hotel

Nice hotel which is well situated.
Nice hotel which is well situated. The staff are pleasant and efficient. The layout of the hotel is a little confusing, but overall a good choice if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in HCM. However, not an outstanding choice.

After reading other reviews about
After reading other reviews about the rex i booked with abit of trepidation. Made sure i got a room in the new wing.Rooms a bit small.Ours overlooked the courtyard so it was very quiet.Didn't have to hear any street noise which was fantastic. The staff are excellent and the roof top bar is a great place to unwind. The two pools are o.k. nothing special but they do the job.Location is excellent on main road and close to market and other sightseeing. You must try a restaurant around the corner in Pastuer st.nha hang ngon.Fantastic food.Would stay again if i could have same room.

After first impression, I liked it
The hotel was pretty good, i got a taxi from the airport which was about 8USD. I was very tired when I arrived and was very turned off by the hotel's appearance. It seemed old and creepy to me, but I got some sleep and got use to it. Hotel staff was great, very nice and friendly. After being ripped off by every cab driver and other street person in Saigon, I opted to take the Hotel car to the airport, it was about 30 or 35 USD and was a black Mercedes C class which was pretty nice. Saigon is a city for the street wise, if you are nice or don't have a bite to your personality, you will be eaten alive, I found within 24 hrs I became a very snappy person. Everyone wanted to get me hookers, ride their bike, take their cab, buy their product or give me a MASSAGEEE as they consistently yelled from all over. This is fine and has nothing to do with the hotel, but there were a lot of these people looking to screw tourists in front of the hotel harassing guests out front for their services. This is where I think that the Rex could step up their game and not have street people trying to take advantage of their guests on the front steps of the hotel. Overall, the hotel was nice, staff was good and location was perfect.

This is a hotel with good location
This is a hotel with good location with 5 min walk to the red cathedral church and old post office. Diamond shopping plaza is another 3 min walk from post office. Drawback is that we were assigned in the old wing @ 2/F which the room is a bit outdated and we heard the traffic noise. Maybe we should book new wing room next time. In general staff is polite and helpful. Recommended to stay!
