Bedbugs
First off there wasn't a fridge in the room. At almost $200 a night that was shocking. When we lifted the sheet to go to bed there was an alive bedbug sitting there. Part of the staff was concerned but who I think was the room service manager acted as if we were disrupting him and showed no concern. The manager offered switch our rooms but we were too disgusted and we left.

Great for a conference !
This hotel is located right across the street from the convention center with connecting walkways to keep you out of the elements. My only issue with the hotel is the split lobby. We were dropped of at the main entrance on the east side of the building and had to go up a level fro the registration desk. My only issue with the room was the small bathroom...each time I opened the bathroom door it struck the shower curtain rod and made a load thud! I enjoyed the Miller Time Pub. In all, a great place to stay if you have business at the convention center.

Romantic Getaway Weekend
The hotel was great, but just be aware that parking is $24/night and can become pretty expensive. There was a lot within walking distance of the hotel, but Milwaukee was a quiet enough city where there was no problem driving to breweries that were a couple miles away and finding parking there.

Milwaukee Visit
The hotel is an old "Grand Hotel." The interior is very classic and The Milwaukee ChopHouse is an excellent restaurant located within the hotel. The filet mignon I had was perfect! It is a thirty minute walk to the harbor and many of the downtown attractions are within a twenty minute walk. The staff is friendly and helpful. Milwaukee is a beautiful and wonderful place and so is this hotel! I stayed here six years ago and I will return here next time.

The sea scallops and filet mignon were magnificent. There is a very extensive wine list available, too. Service was excellent and the fresh , warm bread with four types of spreads is a lovely start to your meal. Small, but romantic, restaurant.

its nice than in the pictures
the hotel was much nicer than I expected and the house keeping staff was very quick and friendly as where the people at the front desk. Parking was expensive and if you are looking to go to the bar scene I would stay much closer to water street. Oh and if you have kids I would TOTALLY stay here because of the mini water park!

Just sayin'
Room was fine, great location
No complaints. Hilton bed/bedding comfortable as always. Room was clean and adequate. Hotel lobby is beautiful: old building, lots of character. It wouldn't be my first choice for a downtown hotel, but it was fine. I'd stay here again.
