Great place to unwind after our cruise

The room was great. My husband was disturbed by the ice machine in the hall, but it didn't bother me. I believe it was a full house and yet we were able to get into our room early and arranged for a late check out on Sunday. That was very helpful. We received very helpful tips from the lobby staff. My only criticism is the PRICE of the food/drinks in the lobby restaurant and the S L O W N E S S of the basic wifi. For the price we paid, the free wifi should have been lightening fast. The location was superb! Thank you.

Wet bed for $500 a night

This could have been an amazing trip but how the hotel management chose to handle our issue was poor. My wife and I paid over $500 a night for this room. Everything looked amazing, from the location to the view from the room. At the end of the night getting ready for bed we noticed a large wet spot in the middle. Called the front desk about it and had the pillow top replaced with new sheets which took about an hour. Needing to catch an early flight the next day this made me upset. Checking out we asked about it and no one owned up to the mistake. This is a great time for management to apologize to us and again they had failed.

Poor staffing

I was overcharged for parking. I was charged for a bar tab that was not mine. I told the person checking me out that I had not made any bar charges and was told it would be removed but it was not. I asked for a receipt at checkout but was told it would be emailed to me. The email copy had the bar tab that I was told would be removed. When I asked how will I get my rental car out of the garage I was told to use my room pass card. But the pass card was deactivated before I could get the car out. So I had a big hassle with the valet desk trying to leave the hotel. Very poor service.

I think Westin is very nice. It has a good location. But it has a small problem, a little noise.

Okay family experience.

Room didn't have dresser's to put our clothes in for my weeks stay. Room was a little to small. Breakfast buffet was a little pricey. Hotel was ideally situated and the exercise facilities were great. Parking was a hassle with the outside vendor. Overall the experience was okay being 3000 miles from home.

Quick Seattle getaway

Marginal for the cost, the location is great and the view from the N tower was cool. Check in was poor, long lines with too little help. Our room was supposed to be ready at 3P, but we could not get it until nearly 6p. We had to wander around downtown waiting for our room, when we really wanted to get changed to go out to a nice dinner. Elevators were horrible. We consistently had to wait 10-15 minutes for elevators. This is not a cheap hotel, you would think the service would be better for what the costs are. I would consider Sheraton

Not quite that extravagant...

This hotel is an average hotel for the price paid and location. I figured that it was going to be an outstanding stay because it was ranked so high from other post. My main issue was that you are charged an arm and a leg for almost anything additional at this hotel. Parking was $40 per night at the hotel. The mini bar is a great item to have except for the fact they charged $5 for a can of Coke. Internet is $15 a day, etc. Bottom line is you can find a better hotel outside the city and drive downtown to see the sights.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

Best shopping in the area is the South Center Mall. It is a short drive from downtown.

Long weekend in Seattle

Westin Seattle hotel, room 4333, had a view obstructed by the top of an office building's noisy exhaust fans which ran 24 hrs a day. Eventually, the sound became 'white noise', but was less than pretty to look at. To the left of this building was Puget Sound and there was a view of a river to the right of it. There was a good view of the Space Needle which was lit at night. There were lots of crowds when the cruise ships were in. There were lots of homeless people on every street as well as those 'emotionally disabled' who were random in their approaches and verbal attacks on passersby. The city could be a fabulous place to visit....very eclectic and interesting. Food is expensive in restaurants....best restaurant found was "Icon", waiter, Gumero, was exceptional! Body scans at the SEATAC airport. probably won't return. Westin charges for internet access in the rooms.

First Rate Hotel!

Great location! Exceptionally friendly staff. The higher up the less noise and better view. McDonalds right across the street. Family had a great time exploring the city and enjoying the hotel amenities.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

The city pass is a great deal. To enjoy it fully it would help to have transportation to get to the sights outside of downtown.
