Beautiful Rooms With Paper Thin Walls.

This hotel is beautiful and spotless. Every member of the staff that we encountered was friendly and helpful. The only downfall was the paper-thin walls. Our room over looked the parking garage which means we were awoken whenever an especially boisterous group took a smoking break. Expect 2 am wake up calls from everyone making their way home after the bars close. We were awoken again in the early morning as our upstairs neighbor prepared for her day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is a heavy sleeper, or someone uses ear plugs.

Mom and Me

I booked this hotel for my mom and myself and it was wonderful! I wish I had booked it for more than one night. I suggest not to dine at The Rock restaurant located within the hotel but aside from that, the stay was wonderful. The room, the attractions, and the staff...all great! Parking is free and in a closed garage during your stay.

Belated Christmas celebration

The hotel was very good and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially with making arrangements for transportation back to the airport .There was an indoor pool and exercise room, however a hot tub or jacuzzi would have been a relaxing way to end the day after much walking. The attached 'Rock' restaurant had an good selection to choose from , reasonably priced.

December in Seattle

We spent 2 nights at the Maxwell House near Seattle Center. The location was absolutely perfect for our plans. The room was clean, staff was very helpful. Breakfast would have been great, but we managed to find something before our 11 am tickets at the Chihuly. A great time was had by all!

Comfortable family hotel

Loved the whole hotel - free parking, spacious rooms(5 people! Comfortably), friendly staff, no shower curtains, warm pool, comfortable lobby, DVD players in room, Keurig in room, fridge in room, plush towels, 5 star shuttle driver & good food recommendations all at a VERY good price! It's a hidden gem! There are more details to their perks like bikes and umbrellas too just waiting for you to discover when you need it!

Great little place

The Maxwell was gorgeous and the staff very friendly. The local shuttle was great and the location perfect for walking to Seattle Center. The only slight issue we had was that there is no where to get breakfast before 6:30 on Sunday morning other than a 24 hour drug store a few blocks away.

My new favorite hotel!

The Maxwell is simply terrific! From the friendly and helpful staff to the great accommodations and amenities our stay really made our trip that much better. The room has all you need and more, a refrigerator, microwave, kurig, popcorn, water bottles, large television and a umbrella bc you are in Seattle. The hotel provides a cupcake reception everyday and lends bicycles to guests. They also provide a shuttle to locations which we used everyday and the drivers were great at helping us navigate the city and with recommendations. I plan a returning here from now on whenever I visit Seattle!

Great place, not sure why it's 3 stars.

This place was modern, clean, comfortable, welcoming, helpful, etc... Can't say enough good things about it. Location would be the only slight negative, as only the Space Needle area is walk-able. They do offer shuttle service that we used to get to Pike's market. We rented a car, and parking wasn't as bad as they made it out to be (used to Chicago prices, so these were considerably lower still). Underground parking is free at the hotel. Couple nice Thai places, and a great breakfast/coffee place within a few blocks. Hotel bar/restaurant is it's own entity and pretty good. Everyone was very nice. Pool was tiny, but good enough for my 11 year old.

Hotel before cruise

We toured Seattle for 2 days before getting on a Carnival Alaska cruise. We rented a car from the airport so we could drive into the Cascades to visit friends, otherwise, the train, taxi and shuttle would have been sufficient. We also drove to look at Deadliest Catch boats & fish ladder/locks. 1st evening hotel's shuttle dropped us off at the waterfront, walked back to hotel afterwards. Walked to space needle area several times. After cruise, checked bags direct through ship to airline, took taxi to waterfront with only carry-on bags, bought stuff at market, walked to train which took us to airport. All very easy.

Space Needle restaurant for lunch, spectacular view (better than on top of space needle) and delicious food. Made reservations online a few weeks before trip.
