Nice place to spend a weekend
Nice rooms, a little smaller than I expected, but not too surprising considering the age of the building. Super clean, great amenities, great location. Highly recommend visiting VIktor, the bartender in the lounge. An absolute artist.

Excellent location, cool rooms
One of the most unique hotels I've stayed in thanks to it's historical theme of referencing the old Seattle Arctic Club that originally occupied the building. Rooms and common areas are done up in a classy late 19th-century look, with the rooms having a unique character with modern amenities that blend seamlessly with the old fashioned decor. The lobby and Polar Bar were absolutely gorgeous, and I love the walrus motif they've spread throughout the building, based on the noble walrus sculptures on the facade... you'll find walrus images throughout including on the room number frames and there's even a cuddly walrus plush toy you can take home from the in-room honor bar. But it's not all just kitsch, the service was impeccable too. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again for future visits to Seattle.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
The Link light rail from SeaTac Airport drops off at Pioneer Square station, where if you take the exit facing Pine St, you emerge immediately across the street from the hotel main entrance. Couldn't be more convenient, and a huge bargain at $2.50 for the fare to downtown--with speed comparable (in some cases quicker) to much more pricey cabs.

Awesome location, comfortable stay
We had a great time visiting Seattle and I can't imagine a better hotel in a better location for the same price as the Arctic Club. We flew into SeaTac and took the Link Light Rail, which stops about a half block away from the hotel. It's within a brisk walking distance of Pioneer Square, the waterfront, and Pike Place. The Seattle public transport system is so good, we were able to get anywhere else around town that we wanted to go very quickly. Personally, I wasn't smitten with the decor, but I still recognize that they obviously put a lot of thought and work into keeping it authentic. The bed in our room was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in! Everyone from the front desk, the wait staff and concierge was professional, helpful and extremely friendly. Staying at the Arctic Club really made me feel like a million bucks!

In Hotel
There are so many good places to eat in Seattle, but my favorite breakfast spot was actually the Juno restaurant, right in the hotel itself. We ate there one morning during our trip and liked it so much we ordered room service early on our morning of departure. I need to find the recipe for that french toast!
