About what you would expect

Great location across from the Sea-Tac airport, very convenient. Although the hotel was going through a significant remodel and all that involves, our room was kept very clean and noise free. If your expatiation's are set for basic, you will not be disappointed.

There are better values than this!

When I booked this it was mainly based on price and location. When I arrived I got the surprise that they charge for Parking! They rent their spaces as a park and fly also.. after paying $15 dollars to park at MY hotel.. I ended up having to park across the street at another park and fly lot because there were no spaces at the hotel.. arriving at 11pm after flying all day and dealing with this was not pleasant!. The hotel is under renovation as well so the carpets where covered with paint splatter and it looked very poor. The room itself was Ok.. no frills. I would only recommend them for a cheap layover without a car.. I will not be staying there again. With the extra cost and hassle of parking I would get another hotel just down the street for about the same price as this with the parking fee!

Not the worst hotel I've stayed at, but close

I was not expecting anything special, given the 2 star hotel and the cheap rate, but there were a couple things about my stay that left me pretty unhappy. The first one was that when I left the airport, I called for a shuttle and was told one was on its way. It was described as "white and green, and says Red Roof Inn" After 20 minutes I called again and was told that it had arrived and left already and that another one would be by in another 20 minutes. The second person I spoke to said it was "white and green and said Holiday Inn and Red Roof Inn" Sure enough, their shuttle is a discarded Holiday Inn shuttle. "Red Roof Inn" was in small decals on the windshield and door, which is probably why I did not see it the first time it arrived. The second thing was that at about 1:15am, the fire alarm went off. When I called the front desk, they informed me that there was a water leak which set off the fire alarm. The alarm continued to go off for over 15 minutes before being shut off. Approximately 20 minutes later, just as I was falling back to sleep, it went off again for 2 - 3 minutes. In the morning, no apology was made by anyone on staff. Aside from those things, it's what you'd expect from an inexpensive hotel. It was actually a lot cleaner than many cheap hotels I've stayed in, and in better overall condition. The hotel was also under construction at the time of my stay (though the staff informed me that the water leak was unrelated), but that did not have any impact on my stay. Even though my room was inexpensive, I plan to call and ask about a partial refund for my experience at the hotel.

Disappointment

Web hotel description as newly renovated and up to date rooms. Room was dated, not renovated and very disappointing. Hotel is near large cross street. Room was very noisy and much loud traffic and noise. Value was okay, but would gladly pay more for quality. I did stay at Red Lion on return from overseas and no comparison. Yes Red lion is more money, but well worth it. Not pleased at all with Red Roof Inn. Room was not up to my standards. Very disappointed.

Will absolutely stay again

I stayed at the Red Roof Inn at the beginning and the end of a one-week photography trip to Washington state and really enjoyed the two nights I spent there in late March . My room was incredibly spacious and sparkling clean, with lots of outlets to plug my camera and phone chargers. I had a comfortable work area to do some photo editing on my laptop. The bathroom was spotless. A barking dog in this pet-friendly hotel could be heard next door but soon stopped. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The rate per night was unbeatable ( $62 tax included). A Denny's restaurant and an Asian restaurant in the Ramada Inn next door provided excellent dining only a one-minute walk away from the motel. Not having to drive the car out of the parking lot was definitely a huge plus as the parking situation can be a bit exasperating ; when I arrived there a bit late the first night I had to drive around the parking lot several times before I found a space. No fun walking back to the lobby if it's raining and you have lots of luggage. But that was the only reason I didn't give this hotel a five star rating. Everything else was perfect including the fact that the car rental return building is only five minutes away. A gas station is adjacent to the hotel, very convenient if you have to fill up your tank before returning the car to the rental company. I should mention that the hotel is currently under renovation which means even better accommodations when the work is completed. A terrific value overall.

Simple but great value

The staff is very friendly, the rooms clean and newly updated, the location is perfect and the value is exceptional. This is not a fancy resort, but if you only need a clean, and QUIET place close to the airport it doesn't get any better than this. We flew in and had to stay the night before heading home in the morning. There are no restaurants nearby, but you can order a pizza, no gourmet experience for sure, but it was so quiet and we got a good night's sleep. There is coffee in the morning, but that is all. Still, for what we needed it was a great value, and we will stay there again.
