Most of the shopping, dining and sightseeing delights of the Emerald City are a short distance from Red Lion Fifth Avenue. The 297-room hotel prides itself on serving both leisure and business travelers. Recently renovated, the rooms feature residential-style decor. Great location. Close to everything
We had a wonderful stay with the Red Lion. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The view was spectacular. It was in a perfect location.

Excellent Location
The hotel is just renovated and is in the middle of downtown. 1 block to take the monorail and other transportation stations, 2 blocks from the famous pike place market, shopping and restaurants all around. Couldn't be better

Pike Place Market is the best for any tourist needs, shopping, walking around, the view, restaurants, etc. Is a "must to do" in Seattle. Don't forget to eat "Piroshky's" in front of the market.

Nothing special, hotel is a bit dated. I rate hotels by how comfortable their beds are. These were very firm and my relaxing vacation left me with a sore back :/

I think you must go Seattle convention center, this hotel's location is very good. And this hotel's cafe has a good local beer.

Surprise in downtown.
I booked the hotel for the location, but I would stay here again for many different reasons. The staff were incredibly helpful and allowed me very early check-in prior to a business meeting. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for any business or leisure travel.

Uncomfortable Stay
The thermostat in room worked fine first night; second night we could NOT get it to cool down resulting in an uncomfortable night. Of two queens, a fitted bottom sheet not used on one. Decor of the room is dark wall covering. Finally, as annoying as anything else, the small refrigerator enclosed in a cabinet, sounded like, "Darth Vader" with breathing difficulties! Seriously! We did not much like the remodel of the dining room; seems for cafeteria-ish than sit down dining. For central downtown and theatre stays, this is the perfect place.

Downtown Seattle couples getaway 2013
This is a great location for the 5th Ave shows or downtown shopping. Walking distance to Pike Place market and the water front. We took the train to a Baseball game, $4 with less than a three block walk. Rooms were brand new with all new furniture. Bed was not installed safely and front desk was notified. Customer service was average.
