Not as expected

Our room is located at the corner of the floor and another room is right next to it. Every time the door is open, we could hear the noise and conversation very clearly. This made me feel very uneasy. House keeping is not really cleaning the room and once we use amenity, they would not refill the next day. As far as location, it is convenient to highway I-5 and University of Washington is nearby and there are many students walking around. There are tons of restaurants and bars on one particular street ( I don't remember the name of the street), which is within walking distance.

Swanky place, easy on the wallet

We splurged on this hotel when we could have stayed with friends and were pleasantly surprised by how not-boring the hotel's lobby and the room itself were. Nice design, not too kitschy, and very friendly staff.

Time-saving tip: In Hotel

The hotel has a complimentary shuttle service anywhere within 4 miles but it is subject to availability. Ask the day before if possible--- Seattle buses were very easy to navigate and friendly, but this would have been a nice feature if we'd planned ahead.

STAINS and Poor Customer Service = Won't Stay Here Again!

I normally do not leave feedback on hotels but this stay warrants a review. We arrived for a late check in, tired from driving all day and were greeted with White Stains on a dark blue Chaise Lounge. "Don't Sit There!" The sheets were majorly wrinkled like they had been in a vaccume sealer for months. The cleaning staff were so Noisy late at night and early morning. The hotel charges for Everything. Overall, too expensive for what you get. Look elsewhere and you will be happier.

Great Value

I was pleasantly surprised from being bumped up from 1 king to 2 queens on the 11th floor. I chose to stay @ Hotel Deca because it was more affordable than staying in dowtown Seattle, yet it was still in close proximity.. You can even arrange a complimentary shuttle to "the market" or anywhere else within a 4 mile radius.. Hotel Deca was easy to get to from Sea-Tac using public transportation. Not only that, cabbies from all the districts know where to drop you off. The room itself is fine. My toilet was wobbley lol Instead of individual shampoo/condtioner bottles, there was refillable dispensers. Some might be weary of this, but I had no issues using them. Lastly, I give the front desk an A+. I had a minor complaint which they remedied... They helped with my wifi..They helped me locate Walgreens.. They'll greet you upon entering no matter the hour of day.

Exceptional as usual

We have been here for meetings several times now and the atmosphere is convivial for business. The rooms are just the right size and have lots of character. I like the size of the hotel which is not overly large. The restaurant is very good and has exceptional staff.

made my life easier

Deca was very conveniently located for the conference I was attending at the university - an easy and direct walk. There are many excellent places to eat in the University neighborhood - you can't go too far wrong. I only regret that I didn't have more time to enjoy the room - excellent accommodations, and it seems a shame that all I really did was sleep there.

ok for the price

The hotel itself is ok for its age. The lounge/restaurant, not owned by Hotel Deca, was decent as well. The down sides were the ridiculously LOUD cleaning staff and the horrible heating/cooling system. The housekeeping staff started slamming, and I mean slamming doors around 8:30 and didn't stop until the noon check out. The "air" doesn't turn on unless the entire hotel is using air conditioning. I understand it's an older building but really? Location was interesting with colorful people watching.

Blood stains=major turn off!

We checked in late and didn't get to our room until the wee hours of the morning. I pull back the blankets on what was going to be a well needed night's rest...and was greeted by a BLOODY FITTED SHEET! Yes people, someone's menses stains!! Asked for refund..."let me check with my manager"... Really you need to check? I emailed the manager, no response...needless to say I will never stay there again!
