Just an Overnight
Good value as always. Shuttle is the sell. Will take you to nearby restaurants for dinner and pick you back up. One driver was an absolute joy; the other really needed to find another job. Surly, impolite, unhelpful to elderly customers. Didn't even open the cumbersome door. Know your location before boarding a shuttle! There are a few Holiday Inn Expresses in the area and each shuttle only goes to one particular one. The driver is not being testy when he asks.

Better than most in the area...
The hotels in the Seatac area are odd. If you wanna pay an arm and a leg, you can get what would be considered an otherwise average hotel room. In short, there's no such as thing as a great hotel experience in the immediate vicinity of the airport. That being said, this hotel is better than most in the immediate vicinity. It is relatively clean. But the mattresses are super duper hard and the place had a musty smell to it. But the little touches from HIE, like super nice staff and kitchenette, are still there. I'd pick this place again for the combo of price and amenities. But my preference would be that the hotels in the Seatac area be pulled down and rebuilt, as they all are way overdue for a refresh.

A lot of room for a good rate!
We just stayed overnight here, but chose this hotel based upon good ratings. It was everything we expected and were happy to have it meet our expectations. Offered a decent continental breakfast, was clean, and plenty of space, since it is a "suite" with a living room/work area in addition to the sleeping quarters. Our kids were with us and were also comfortable. The only thing to ask for improvement on was that our shower head wasn't the greatest -- either a straight gush or a "rain shower" that was too gentle and nothing in between. Buy it worked and the water was the right temperature.

Good stay near the airport
We had a smooth time checking in from the airport, getting picked up, and overnight stay. We got in very late and everyone was very friendly and made it quick and easy to get to sleep.

A clean night's sleep
The hardest part of my drive to the hotel in the recent snow/ice storm in Seattle was the trip up the driveway of the hotel. They hadn't shoveled or salted, which was NOT a great way to start. The reception person was sloppily dressed, but all staff were super nice. The room was clean & comfortable and I was relieved to be there....and then I awoke @ 4:30am to find the power had gone out. Not the hotel's fault by any means, as many places lost power! But what concerned me is that I had set the clock/radio alarm and I have a feeling no one would have come around to see when folks had to get up! So if I hadn't happened to awaken, I would have missed my flight to D.C. Not so good....
