My husband and I were in town for a concert at Key Arena, we were walking distance from the concert and great downtown dining. We didn't mind paying the $10 to park for the evening, parking in the city is so expensive so $10 seemed very reasonable. All staff was very friendly, smiled and greeted us as we passed by. Our room was very nice and clean. Continental breakfast was phenomenal!!! We would highly recommend Holiday Inn Express to our friends and family.

CONVENIENTLY LOCATED
WAS A PLEASANT STAY. hOTEL IS CONVENIENTLY LOCATED FOR ACCESS TO ALL INNER CITY TRANSPORTATION. GREAT TO BE ABLE TO LEAVE YOUR CAR AND TRAVEL ON LOCAL TRANSPORTATION. PARKING IS VERY EXPENSIVE IN THE CITY AND HARD TO FIND. THE HOTEL ALSO CHEARGES FOR PARKING. PLACE WAS CLEAN AND SERVES A NICE BREAKFAST AS PART OF THE PACKAGE. RECOMMEND

Washington for a long weekend with my grandson!
The hotel was easy to find, but we did go to the Holiday Inn first because they are so close together, had a secured parking spot for my grandson's new car, which was a very big plus for him! The night staff was very helpful and courteous and had a smile on his face from the time we arrived to the time we went up to our room. The cleaning staff (Rosa) did a very good job about cleaning "around" my grandson's clothes he left on the floor :) Everything looked and smelled good every time we entered the room. We didn't use the pool nor the exercise rooms but did eat breakfast 2 times and it was good...could've had a few different varieties of fruit beside "green" bananas....other than that, it was good. When we had a question, it was answered promptly and exactly...I like that a lot! When I was ready to leave the next day, I asked if there was an airport shuttle and was told no, but a towne car came between 7 - 10 for $35. I came downstairs the next morning at 20 till 7 and asked if there was a quicker mode of transportation other than the towne car @ 7 and they said they would call a cab, but instead she asked the towne car driver if he could come earlier and he did! He was very polite and helpful and I got to the airport @ 7:15 in plenty of time for my flight. Thank you Holiday Inn Express in downtown Seattle for such a great stay! I forgot when we arrived we asked about where to buy the City Pass and was told we could buy them @ The Space Needle...that's where we got them.

Short walk from hotel
The City Pass saves you a lot of money and all places are fairly close to city center. Only the Zoo and Argosy cruises are traveled by car to be reached. We did go to the zoo, but didn't have time for the cruise...maybe next time.

Great Location - Too Bad Staff is a pain
Nice central location, clean and comfy. BEWARE!!!! They try and sneak $10 charges on your bill for parking, and do not tell you where to park if the main lot if full. It becomes a hassle and for $170 a night it should be included. Teach your staff how to be customer service oriented, and keep the good Holiday Inn name. For Business people a good please.

Good value
I had a very good overall experience at this (relatively) inexpensive hotel right in the heart of Seattle. There was a lot of construction going on in the surrounding area which made navigating to/from the hotel more difficult than it would have been otherwise, but not the hotel's fault. A couple of the staff members could have been more pleasant, but overall a very good experience.

Excellent Customer service.
The hotel was fairly descent , but the location is not the most ideal. Also their on site restaurant wasnt very good at all and their wasnt any other places nearby , so that was kind of inconvenient. On a high note their complementary breakfast was quite good and their staff was awesome.

So close and yet so far away
While the Space Needle is so close it seems you could throw a stone to it you have to walk 10 or 12 blocks to get to it because the Space Needle is on the other side of a very busy and noisy highway 99. The Monorail is touted as a easy quick way to the Pike Street Market and Downtown shopping district. It could be but it is next to the Space Needle and therefore a pretty long walk to use it from the hotel. You only save a few blocks from just walking all the way. There are a few OK restaurants within walking distance but nothing really great.

Just walk straight to downtown rather than taking the monorail.

Nice place, service needs improving
Nice location, clean, good amenties. Even though the staff was courteous, pleasant and very helpful, I didn't feel the front desk was adequately staffed. The complimentary breakfast was excellent.
