Good Location

It is a good location. Rooms smell musty and the walls are thin. The person next door was swearing and we could hear everything.

Half the price of the one across the street- free wine!

My clients stayed at the Monaco - $349 / night. I booked last minute for $129 across the street. Clean,(except the carpet), nice towels, wine reception with nice staff. And the wine was from nice Whashington Wineries. Yes. I will stay again. Small bathroom but nice shower. Room 509.

overnight for business

Stayed overnight for business. Location was next to Federal Court of Appeals and was perfect. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. Easy wi-fi connection was great. and it was $50 cheaper than hotel across the street.

Old, Crusty and Creepy

The title pretty much sums up the stay. Mold throughout the bathroom, dirty floors which I wouldn't recommend walking barefoot on, and cramped quarters. Fantastic ambiance with beer bottles being thrown against the walls in the alley below as well as people yelling and fighting all night NOT!!. I have stayed at MANY Seattle hotels, this one should definitely be included on the "Worst of Seattle" list. EXTREMELY over-rated and over-priced, NEVER again.

Worked Great for Us!

We are big on reviews so we needed to write this. The hotel is located in the financial district right across the street from the library. The staff was extremely helpful and seemed genuinely happy we were staying with them. We use public transit in Seattle and the hotel was only a few blocks from the tunnel station. The room was clean and updated. The only downside to the room was it was a little small; but we only needed a bed to sleep on. We attended some baseball games and was easy to get to the games and of course the waterfront. Great hotel and staff and we will stay there again.

Try to Steelhead Bar & Grill. Upscale dining with a hip atmosphere. And try to sit on the Chef's Counter for your dinner..great view of the meals being prepared.

Our latest trip to Seattle

Our stay at this hotel was very average. The hotel location was great but the hotel itself was nothing to write home about. We would stay again it there was another deal.

Close to Downtown

Nice, quaint room and located in the midst of downtown Seattle. Just walk out and take a right onto 4th street and keep walking. If you have an early/late flight and get in when everything is closed be aware there is no room service for food. Easy to find and known by shuttles and tour buses.

Small corner room

Was given a room the size of a closet in the corner of the building with no view when I asked for a view. The hotel is in a great location but small rooms.

Think small

Old building has physical limitations. Room had single queen, but bathroom would be a challenge for "large" people.
