So-so slipping to no-go

Inn of the Six Mountains is in one of the best spots on the Killington access road. It’s looking tired and dated in the common areas, with cheesy low-wattage fluorescent bulbs dimly lighting the hallways. I’m sure that’s an attempt to “be green” but it gives the place a creepy forbidding look. After a day on the slopes, being greeted by a fire in the massive foyer fireplace would be nice. In several stays over the years, this has never happened. It’s the same in the sitting area with another huge fireplace on the second floor. It’s just a drab space that with updating, comfortable furniture and good lighting could be made into an inviting place for a cocktail or beverage of your choice. The arcade area off the lobby is now a junk storage, with a plastic sheet hanging across the doorway. Not very attractive or inviting. The room itself, the bathroom and the bedding all seem clean and well cared for. The TV was and old tube style with poor picture quality. It’s WAY past due to get current with flat screen/HDTV technology. Open Wifi is available in the lodge. Speaking of technology, cell service on the Verizon network is poor throughout all of facility and Killington area in general. Do yourself a HUGE favor and skip the complimentary continental breakfast. Prison grade food in an ice-cold room isn’t a great start to the day. I have been to many places that pull off 5-star buffet style meals successfully, like the Von Trapp lodge in Stowe, VT. The staff is friendly and helpful if approached, but they wouldn’t go out of their way to acknowledge you as you traverse the facility. Overall, I have seen this place decline over the years. If close/clean enough/budget are dictating your travel plans, book it. If you want something more luxurious… better move on! I think I’ll be moving on.

Great Deal

Like many other reviewers have already mentioned, this hotel is nothing special....except for the proximity to Killington and free shuttle to the slopes. I got a fantastic deal through this service, so it was worth it. But if I'd paid full price, I would've been less satisfied for sure. Hotel is clean, room was comfortable, but outdated. 'Heated' pool was cold. Hot tub nice but tiny. Outdoor hot tub out of order. Kids did like the free cider and hot chocolate in the afternoons. Free breakfast buffet was so-so.....eggs that looked like they maybe once saw a chicken and pancakes that tasted like foam. I would probably not stay here again...unless I got a fantastic deal like this time.

Great spot, nice place

Booked a day before New Year's Eve for a two-day stay. The rate was great and I felt right at home. I was tired after a 3 1/2 hour drive and didn't feel like hitting the night scene, but the hotel was close to just about every hotspot on the access road. They had a buffet dinner for $25 and a modest bar that fit perfectly for my needs. I also enjoyed the two large lounge areas with a fireplace. They have a pool and a hot tub, of which I didn't take advantage. The staff went out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms were nice and clean, it was warm, the beds were marginally comfortable. My only gripe was there was no wi-fi at all and, though they had a coffee maker, there were no plugs anywhere near a table. Also, it would have been nice to have a snack/soda machine somewhere nearby. But overall, it's a good spot for a getaway. It's extremely close to the mountain and has regular shuttles if you don't feel like driving 2 minutes. Good spot.

Great place to say in Killington

My husband and I and another couple stayed here. The hotel was great. Nice sitting area in front of the fireplace on ground floor and 1st floor. At 4:00 everyday they serve hot apple cidar and cookies. Pub has good food and a very attentive, friendly bartender. Hot tubs both indoor and outdoor are very hot and soothing. Just wish they were open a little longer. Room was comfortable, plenty of room and cute little balcony. The mattress was pretty hard and the pillows were very flat. Besides that the room was good. Hot breakfast was very yummy, but if you weren't there by 8 am everything was pretty much gone. They did replenish, but you had to wait a little while. Shuttle very easy and took you right to snowshed. Great place for kids to stay. Lots for them to do, they have movie nights and games for them to play. Overall, great place to stay and I will definitely stay there again.

Baja Burrito is the only mexican place around, but it's really not worth the money. Very bland food and skimpy chips and salsa. The shuttle driver is the owner so be careful what you say.

Needs a little updating

They couldn't find our reservation when we arriveve, but graciously found a room, no problem. The rooms are outdated and the bathroom was in dire need of updating and cleaning. The tub floor was moldy !! The location is good for getting to Killington and the shuttle was perfect.

Great Location

Just down the road from Killington (Ramshead & Snowshed). Room was clean and basic but decorating was a little tired. Free hot breakfast was a nice touch. A great place to stay if all you want is proximity to the slopes and a good price.

Not too bad

The location is great. There are a lot of nice restaurants around. There is a massage therapist on the premisses (expensive), a pool and a spa, which was great for me since I don't ski. The room could use an upgrade including very outdated TV sets and broken light fixtures.

Convenient location for a quick ski getaway weekend

My fiancé and I stayed at this hotel this past weekend. There is an oversized fireplace in the lobby which only had 1-2 logs at a time burning, and they didn't give off much heat. Would have much preferred to see a roaring fire going, which is nice to relax in front of after a day of skiing. Other than that, the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Room was clean, though a little dated, but had vaulted ceilings which were nice. The bathroom was a good size as well. Continental breakfast was served each morning and consisted of make-your-own waffles, muffins, bagels, toast, cold cereal, oatmeal, coffee and juice. Location of hotel is very convenient..... Right on the main road in the midst of the shops, bars, and restaurants, and only a couple of minutes to the mountain. For the price and the location, it was very well worth it and I would stay here again.

Friendly Staff makes hotel worthwhile

The room was rather dry and stuffy almost like people were smoking in it within the last week. Workout room was locked but really didn't have much in it anyway. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Is located on a golf course which was closed for the season so had some great walks/runs on a scenic course.
