OK for the money

This place was alright, but nothing special. There are no elavators or ice machines, so that was a negative. Rooms are pretty outdated, but we stayed during the off season so the room was a good value.

Good last minute getaway

Easy to find. Right off of access road. 5 minutes to mountain. Close to all the things you need. Has late check in which is good on a Friday after work when it takes six hours to arrive. Room was clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast not really worth it. I would be ok if they didn't even offer it. Parking is the only real issue with this facility. There definately isn't enough parking to accomodate everyone on a Friday or Sat night stay. But, you can park on there little road in front of the hotel. Its not that big a deal. Exercise is good for most people. Nobody likes to walk a few extra yards without complaining, but they will brag about skiing all day. Anyway, I would stay here again. Great value, great location.

Can't beat the Wobbly Barn for night time entertainment. Always seem to have a great band when I visit.

What you need

Hillside inn provides you with what you need and a tv, fridge, hair drier and included breakfast too. Beyond that there isn't much stuff included to make a stay extra cosy, but that's to expect when you're paying as little as you are. So overall it's a good place, perfectly decent and at a nice price!

On the rocs lounge for a nicer dinner. Foundry is also good. For action carrying into the later evening or night the outback pizza house was a fun time

Great spot, great rate in a pinch

Booked this nice, comfy inn while stuck in Killington for the weekend. I got a tremendous rate for the evening and a nice room with a king-sized bed, a mini fridge in a mini kitchen. It was warm, nice and clean. They had a good breakfast buffet and the limited dealing I had with the staff was nice and cordial. I'd definitely look to this spot for a place with a good rate and great access to the ski resort.

Great value Killington hotel

I have been a lifelong skiier and have visited Killington many times with my family growing up. Having stayed at some of the nicest locations in Killington, I can say this isn't one of them. However, I wasn't paying for the rooms when I stayed at those places. Wanting to book a last minute trip to Killington with my girlfriend on a budget, the Hillside Inn ended up being a very good spot for us. We booked this room about 4 days before heading up and I think we really maximized our value by staying here. The hotel is on the Killington access road and is not at all far from the mountain. Yes there are closer resorts, but they were looking for almost double the rate per night compared to Hillside Inn. They have a breakfast every morning which I believe is included, but we never tried it. The room was spacious with 2 queen beds, a decent sized bathroom, and a small "kitchen" area that had a sink, microwave, counter top, and a small refrigerator. The thermostat in our room was not adjustable and was being held together by electrical tape, but the room was warm and the floors were heated so we didn't complain or ask for a new room. The rooms are outdated and the linens aren't the most comfortable, but they're clean and fine as far as I'm concerned for the price I paid. Management was nice although we had minimal interaction. Their front desk is open 24/7 so it wasn't a problem getting our keys when we arrived at midnight. Overall, this was a very good place to stay if you're on a budget and looking for value.

The Wobbly Barn has good food, but is a bit pricey. Don't be discouraged by the band upstairs, the noise won't bother you as the dining room is downstairs.

bang for your buck

i was in town for 3 days, and Hillside Inn was perfect. although parking is limited when the facility is buzzing, i managed to get a spot close to my room. the room was the perfect temperature, hot water was plentiful, and, at about 3 miles from K-1 Base, i could leave at 8:40AM and still make the first gondola ride up at 9:00. thanks and keep up the graet work!

Great value

A little hard to fine, no signage on building. Only staff was house keeping. Rooms were very nice and clean, and the best value on my trip.
