The resort registration was done quickly and then we were escorted to a second desk for a welcome packet. We found ourselves walking away with the packet and an appointment for a 90 min "talk" about being part of the time share. There with my brother and his wife, they felt they had no choice in doing this. So the four of us met together with 2 salespeople. (awkward) They were both pleasant and personable but after 2 hours we were burnt out and I finally said we were leaving. They said ok but we still had to meet with another person who asked us about the salespeople and then down stairs to get our "gifts". Funny, but both of us were given diff. gifts. The condo was upstairs and had a pretty view from the balcony. However, the furniture was cheap and battered. We mentioned that to the sales people saying, we were less inclined to buy when faced with that and very cheap flooring etc. They said that would all be upgraded in the future but who buys promises?? Maintenance was there in sec. when we had a problem with the keys, the tv and the toilet. Would we go again? Probably as we have a gift of another short stay. Otherwise we would not. The sales pitch colored our whole stay negatively, especially since both my brother and I called to make sure that we did not have to sit thru any sales pitch.

The Kings Arms restaurant in Colonial Wmsburg is a very pleasant place to have a leisurely meal with a couple of surprises during the meal. There is parking behind the restaurant, one street over for those who cannot walk a distance. see the map The weekend we were there was Wm and Mary graduation and Mothers day but parking, and crowds were handled so well.

Great place to Stay!
My accommodations were excellent - two master bedrooms with baths, living room,/dining room, kitchen. Everything clean and very well presented. King size beds were super comfortable, as were the pillows. Can't wait to go again. Did not eat on the premises but there are restaurants on-site.

Great Place with Like Home Amenities
My daughter just graduated from W&M so we have been visiting the Powhatan for several years. We have 4 kids so staying a weekend in a hotel can be very costly. I love the condo style of this property- wonderful kitchen, dining, living, and bedrooms. My inlaws love staying there as well. My only disappointment is they used to have hot tubs in each room. They have removed all hot tubs so don't go there expecting to have an in-room hot tub. Other then that, it's really a great place to stay.

This is a great place if you want to cook meals for your family in your room, and there are fantastic grocery stores near by. I wouldn't spend the money eating dinner here, it's pricey and haven't found it to be worth it. Breakfast is ok. Best to cook in the unit.

Amazing Resort!
This experience greatly exceeded my expectations! The condos were beautiful, clean and quiet. The grounds were immaculately kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a lot to do just on the grounds. This would be a fabulous place for a family reunion!!

Great Place for Family stays in Wmsburg
We try our best to acquire accomodations at this resort each and every time we visit Williamsburg. We typically come from the Roanoke area at least twice a year for Busch Gardens trips and after staying in various other places - I just can't imagine staying anywhere else. They have it all! Indoor & outdoor pools, separate pools for adults, the rooms are awesome, and the restaurant is extremely accommodating. There is never a dull moment for the kids or the adults! We can't wait to get back to the resort after a fun day at the parks!!

If you want to eat something from outside the resort after 8pm - either order delivery (there's lots of options) or make sure you know where you are going before you leave the resort. It is sometimes difficult to find open restaurants in the immediate area but they are there if you know where to look.

Quality has dropped
The overall quality has dropped. Appliances did not work. Maintenance had to flip a circuit breaker every time you turned the TV on. We stayed here a few times 2 and 3 years ago and were very disappointed this time. Seems run down now.

Very Disappointing
Several light bulbs or lights not working--how can one not see that? One shower handle completely missing. Main TV so high we had neck ache. Paint out on patio was peeling off. Both bath showers so slippery we had to hold on to bar to keep from slipping and falling. Next time I will stay at more reliable places that have been great in the past.

Good for the Price!
This is a timeshare resort. The resort is beautiful and worth the price! However they will try to persuade you to attend to their no obligation sales presentation. You can refuse but be aware that if you accept to go to their sales presentation they will charge you a $20 hold just in case you don't show up and it's non refundable.
