Active travelers make full use of the multiple recreational amenities on site, including pools, basketball and tennis courts.

Highlights
  • Restored 1735 Manor House on site
  • Indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts and a 18-hole mini golf course
  • Spacious accommodations with multiple bedrooms, balcony and loft

Rooms

Some rooms showcase traditional American style and come furnished with fireplace and full kitchen that allows guests to save on dining expenses. Washers and dryers complete the residential feel.

Recreation

The Historic Powhatan Plantation is set on 256 rolling wooded acres. The resort brims with colonial charm, starting with the Powhatan Plantation's Manor House that was once the home of the area's leading architect Richard Taliaferro. Guests can spend considerable time outside at the tennis, racquetball and basketball courts and the 18-hole mini golf course. Visitors can also enjoy the indoor and outdoor pools.

Awesome getaway

We love going here off-season. The condo is clean and stocked with what you need to cook if you want. It has a private jacuzzi and fireplace. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We are considering getting a timeshare here because we do like it so much!

We visited our grandchildrend, son ad daugter inlaw. It did snow while we were there. we didn't stay at night with the kids an thats why we got the hotel so that my husband and I could have a little dwn time for us after a nice visit with the childrend. Nice hot tub comfortable bed, fireplace a plus, and cozy living room. Can't wait to go back sometime in the warm month's to enjoy the pool and see the grounds.

JUST PLAIN PERFECT!

We were attending a reunion in Williamsburg and the hotel was our home base. The staff was delightful, our accommodations were tasteful and very comfortable. We felt like we were returning "home" each night, instead of returning to a hotel. We received a fantastic rate, which just added icing to the cake. It was just plain perfect!

Nice Place, Awful Service!!!

The place was nice inside until the water heater pipe burst into the room and water was everywhere!! Had to pack up EVERYTHING AND GO TO THE FRONT DESK TO BE PLACED IN ANOTHER UNIT BUT [...]THE FRONT DESK COULDN'T GIVE US A FIRST FLOOR ROOM. I ASKED FOR ONE DUE TO ALL THE LUGGAGE AGAGIN AND TRAVELING WITH A 4YR OLD. THE STAFF WAS NOT VERY COOPERATIVE TO THE SITUTATION AND I WAS VERY UPSET!!! NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL AT ALL!!

Mid-winter stay

Nice condo with fireplace, kitchen and hot tub. The hot tub room has sky lights that made for wonderful moonlight soaks in the tub. We used it almost every night. Not a lot of activities going on at the resort during the winter, but we probably wouldn't have participated anyway since we spent all of our days sightseeing in nearby Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown.

Close to Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown. Mid-winter rates at Colonial Williamsburg, nice weather and no crowds made a January visit really enjoyable.

Fantastic Resort

We took a weekend girls (3) trip to Williamsburg and stayed in a 2BR/2BTH condo. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Our condo was fabulous!!! We had everything at our fingertips and it was so relaxing. The grounds were just beautiful with geese and deer abundant. The location was great as well. It felt like we were in a secluded resort, but were only minutes (yes minutes) from great restaurants, Colonial Williamsburg, and the outlet malls. We ate at the Grille on-site and the food was great and very low priced. The only negative (which was really not a real negative) was that the Grille was not open on Friday or Saturday nights and only served lunch until 1:00. Our stay at Powhatan Plantation was fantastic! We would DEFINITELY stay there again.

Quiet and relaxing

We went for quiet and relaxation and found it. The staff was helpful and polite. We loved the fireplace as it made for a romantic mood setter. The only problem was the fitness center and indoor pool were closed--both of which we had hoped to use and were a factor in our selecting the resort.
