Governor's Inn

Good, clean hotel which a price that can’t be bet for that location! We booked a ‘room for four’, close to the college of William & Marry . The ‘College’ and ‘Colonial Williamsburg’ were within walking distance and ... at a 60-70% lower price!

Hotel was ideal, we had family visiting and wanted to see Colonial Williamsburg. This hotel was perfect location and gave us a discount on tickets, win win all round. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good and the staff are friendly. We will be returning here again.

This was comfortable, no frills, perfectly nice. It was within walking distance from Merchants Square and all the Colonial goodies. My ONLY issue with this place was that the yogurt I grabbed from the Continental Breakfast was moldy. Yuck. Everything else was golden. It's also within walking distance of the Amtrak, which is a huge bonus if you're traveling without a car.

I got two rooms for a family trip to Colonial Williamsburg and both were fantastic. The location was great. They put both rooms next to each other with a door between so that we weren't too separated. The continental breakfast is delicious and has a good selection. The beds were comfortable and each room had a nice TV. You cannot beat the value.

Great location in downtown Williamsburg. Motel is oudated but value and location made up for it

I didn't spend much time a hotel, as it was a busy weekend. It was pleasant. I thought for the price it would be a step up from other Inns in town, but it was very comparable. Located right next to Train station and a good solid walk, but still a walk to Merchant Square. I will try harder at finding deals in order to stay in a little nicer of a place, next time.

We stayed during Williamsburg's Grand Illumination 2 years ago and again this weekend. Two years ago the Inn needed some renovation and unfortunately, now it is just plain shabby. Not in any way something Colonial Williamsburg should attach it's name to even for a value motel. The room's ceiling was peeling and patched, the sheets and blankets had holes and there was a space under the door large enough to allow critters to come in (glad it was December!). On the plus side the staff was friendly, the room was fairly clean, the location is close enough to walk and the continental breakfast had a nice variety.

This is the second time in three trips to Williamsburg that I have stayed at the Governor's Inn. Frankly, I wish it was three out of three. The room was very clean, all the appliances and utilities worked perfectly, and the I honestly cannot think of what I would change. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was good and filling.

I stayed at the Governor's Inn for Homecoming weekend. The location was great. It was an easy walk to campus and the Merchant's Square shopping area. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
