Country Hearth Inn Williamsburg

The motel is older but the rooms have been fairly well maintained and are very clean. I have stayed in Williamsburg before at other "value" motels and this is easily the best value for the money I have run across. The location is good and the breakfast is adequate. It is not a great hotel by any means but it is clean, well staffed and a great value.

Don't ever stay here! The room stunk of smoke, there was food still on the floors, the ironing board was burnt to a crisp, there were obvious signs of bed bugs on the lining of the beds, the sheets were stained and the bathroom was filthy. behind the toilet was cigarettes ashes and a puddle of urine. I complained to the person at the front desk and he was willing to refund me my money for the second night.

The Motel is very close to Williamsburg which is why we were there. We only stayed there at night so it was adequate - clean enough. Continental Breakfast was non-exisitent, but we ate at local Pancake Houses anyway which were very close by. I really can't complain because the location was excellent for us.

The Good: - The location is unbelievably convenient to Colonial Williamsburg and the cost was perfect. - The man at the front desk was incredibly friendly. - The breakfast was ample for anyone looking for something simple but delicious, such as myself. There were muffins, waffles, apple and orange juice, and cereal. - The bed was very, very comfortable. - Having free parking is nice, though most places in the area has it. The Bad: - The toilet didn't work, though by the time I found that out I was too tired to try to worry about it. - One of the towels had odd stains on it, but their were other towels so it wasn't too big a deal. - The TV and it's remote also didn't work. - The shower kept fluctuating between hot and cold water. You should stay here if... You are just looking for an inexpensive place to sleep in an expensive town, it is hard to beat this place. Just check out everything first to make sure it works. If you are planning on spending any extended time in the room and can't live without TV, you may want to try something else. I would recommend it, but give a big warning.

Rooms were adequate or better, beds comfortable, but breakfast leaves a lot to be desired with very few choices.

we stayed here at the begining of june 2012. my husband and i both loved it. staff was very friendly. decent breakfast. we didn't use the pool but it looked very clean and well maintained. rooms were clean. of course it isn't the holiday inn but it is very quaint. very close to just about evrything. busch gardens, water country shopping, etc.again we loved it!

Poor bedding, Tub woukd not drain, Dirty grounds, No elevator, only one working Ice machine in the whole complex. Hair dryer old and not working. Ironing board but no iron. So bad we seriously considered forfiting our pre payment and staying somewhere else. Just stayed gone all day till we only had to go in to sleep and left eary in the morning. Do not know how it could get 3 stars?

Upon arrival, we were somewhat taken aback by the appearance of the place. Some rain guttering appeared to have fallen and was tied to support beams. The place is older construction, and there were about 6 vehicles in the parking lot. The first room we were given smelled like cigarette smoke so we asked to move. Staff was very accomodating, and gave us another room that seemed a little fresher. We were pleased that there was a small fridge and microwave in the room. The sheets were clean. There were spiderwebs in several places in the room. I noticed spots on the pictures in the room that looked like it could have been mold. If modern accommodations and style are important to you, probably not the best choice. Upside - about 10 minutes to Busch Gardens, and there are restaurants, grocery stores, and a Starbucks nearby.

It was a real money saver to stay at this hotel. We found the pool to be well maintained, and the room was clean. It could have used a few minor repairs (loose floor tile, marks on the walls); however these things are insignificant to us. We just needed a place to sleep while enjoying the wonderful experience of Colonial Willimsburg.

My friend and I stayed one night and enjoyed the location and the quietness of the place. There was a fridge that was a plus since we had eaten out earlier and had leftovers. The microwave didn't work but other then that we had a great experience and would definately recomend this place!
