The Westin Virginia Beach Town Center

The hotel lobby, restaurant, and location were all quite nice. The staff was friendly and helpful with our requests. Parking was great; we never had an issue finding a space. My major issue with this hotel is how they nickel-and-dime you for everything. No breakfast, you have to pay $10 per day for wifi access, valet parking is at a ridiculous fee, if you run out of coffee in the room, you can buy more in the lobby store... the list goes on. Additionally, it was evident that the room we stayed in had a bit of wear and tear and wasn't well-maintained. Things like broken door stops, dinged up (enough to snag my clothing) furniture, broken handles for the drapes (which made it difficult to close). It wasn't enough to make me want to request a different room, but it was enough to make me feel like the money spent wasn't worth the stay. I believe in the future, if I want to stay in VA Beach at Town Center, I will look at the other hotel properties before staying at the Westin again. It wasn't that our stay was unpleasant, it just wasn't pleasant either.

great hotel, clean and nice. Was a great stay. Only downside was the pool was small and cold. Also the hot tub was under construction.

The Westin was a great experiance and I would recommend it to anyone as its centrally located and near by may options for eats after working all day.

Stayed in a corner suite. Very nice and modern room. Front desk staff was very friendly. I got a free room upgrade, not sure why, and the staff woman was geniunely happy for me. Staff gets a 4 out of 5 because I had the maid walk in on me half-dressed despite me yelling "one minute". I tried telling her I was on my way out soon but she spoke no English. This is not at the oceanfront portion of town but it's a 10-15 drive to the beach and the same room would be double the price. I came here to enjoy the beach and was happy with it.

Short stay but a great quality spot. Everything was great, especially that heavenly bed.

Big, BIG bucks to stay at this not-so-conveniently located hotel. Expensive $$$ and then everything is extra. NO free wi-fi, NO free breakfast, Valet costs as much as another room ... Requested adjacent rooms and were placed physically as far apart as possible despite close room numbers, demonstrating that the staff didn't understand the floor plans. Room lacked any tourist books. Missing cups. TV doesn't even cover local sports!! When you pay this much, you expect attention to detail, television stations, wi-fi, complimentary breakfast ... VERY disappointing, leading us to declare that we never want to stay in a Westin again. If it weren't for the NON REFUNDABLE policy, we would have moved to a different place.

The Westin at Virginia Beach Town Center is awesome. It's surrounded by Pembroke Mall, Regal movie theater, Funny Bone Comedy Club, PF Chang's, Saffron Indian Bistro and other great restaurants and boutiques. Parking is free. The hotel is brand new and the staff at the front desk were very friendly and great at answering questions. The only 2 negatives was that the room (Room 621) we got didn't have a microwave in it and that beverages (ex. water, soda) wasn't free. The room only had a refrigerator. Other than that, everything else was perfect.

It was an excellent room at a great value, The only thing that was strange was the fact that somehow the travel agent put me in an handicap room and the front desk said they couldn't change my room because it was booked through the travel agent.. Because I didn't have the time, I just went with it and it worked out find. However, the inflexibility on behalf of the hotel front desk was baffling.

Great location, parking is a lil crazy, the Deluxe room was AWESOME!!! highly recommend. Skip the room service. the pizzas we ordered at 12 a peice were dough in the middle over cooked on the edge. with sooo many restaurants which deliver, DON'T waist your bucks on the room service... but everything else about this hotel was top shelf!

The location was ideal for visiting family, easy access to the hightway. although it was not near the tourist areas. The rooms were conforable. The bed pillows took getting use too.
