Great location for a vacation
Great location! One block from the 30th street amphitheatre. Bike rental places everywhere, great fun, hard to get around the surreys at times though on the bike path. The shuttle runs up and down Atlantic and is cheap to use to get down to Rudee Inlet to the fishing and parasailing. It doesn't start until 8am so if you fish early, you have to walk to the inlet (about 2 miles). Fantastic 4th of July show. My family had one of our best vacations ever!!

Walk to the market to get snacks and sandwich stuff and keep in the fridge in the room. This saves a lot of money!

Oceanfront Inn , Virginia Beach
I loved the location of the hotel and the fact thereis a restaurant in it. I travelled with a 2 years old and could leave my stuff on the beach, bring my daugther to the hotel, feed and bath her while watching my stuff on the sand, and come back to the beach. We really had a good time!

great place for the price
we spent a lot of time laying out in the sun.If they had an outdoor pool it would be a lot better.Noone wants to swim indoors when its beautiful outside. It was a nice trip, and the price that orbitz got us can't be beat.

Nice place on the Beach
They were ready for us when we arrived. We did not have any problems. The AC was very cold. The small fridge was nice and cold. This place is older but they keep it clean. It is next to the Hilton and the main stage area and playground are right there. No Microwaves in the rooms. Balcony is nice and sturdy. There are three lifts so no waiting around. There is a nice indoor pool with a shower area. We booked on Orbitz and had NO problems. If you are very picky and tend to look for things to be wrong and then get all up tight about it then shell out another grand and go next door to the Hilton.

Great place for a family
The hotel was great, excellent view and nice rooms, the bathroom is my only complaint- basically you could not get a consistent temperature water so you ended up taking a luke warm shower and the toilet was so close to the counter that you bumped your arm(and i am not a large person) The restaurant in the hotel has great food.

Great Family Vacation
This is a good hotel. The hotel is spotless. Maid service was excellent. We have no complaints whatsoever. The view was excellent. The indoor pool is nice after you had a long day at the beach. They actually have a stand up shower to use before entering the pool so you can wash all of the sand away.

elevator to slow only used to bring bags up after check in, and check out . they make copy of your drivers license. I had to ask for the copy back! ID THEFT? INDOOR POOL NEEDED TO GET THE SAND OUT NOT DONE HOLE TIME THERE.

Great Location
You can't beat the location of this hotel -- it's literally on the beach. My husband and I didn't need to rent a car; we just enjoyed walking down the boardwalk and the strip and returning to the hotel. However, the walls were very thin, other guests were noisy late at night, the shower was very low-flow, and the housekeeping service was pretty bad. There was leftover coffee in the dusty coffeemaker when we checked in. The next day, the coffee was still there. On the third day I washed it out, made tea, left tea with a bag in it, and moved the pot to a more prominent location as an experiment. Same results -- it was still there. Kind of makes you wonder about the rest of the room!

If it rains, go to the aquarium. It's not a far drive. Since my husband and I didn't rent a car, we rode the bus, which was also very easy.

Family Vacation A+++++
This is an older hotel but all rooms with an ocean view. We were very impressed! The only possible complaint would be that the housekeeping didn't seem to know what was trash which I guess is probably a good thing because my trash may be someone else's stuff they wanted to keep! The hotel is centrally located right in the middle of everything on the beach and boardwalk.

The Virginia Aquarium had been written up wonderfully online but when we got there we were greatly disappointed! Not worth the money at all!! With the hotel on the boardwalk we thought we would try one of those 4 person bikes for $25 for two hours and we got one that didn't work right and they refused to give us our money back, so be wary!
