The Grand Ocean Hotel

Not a great experience at all, Now I know I wasn't expecting 5 star service but it was one giant pain in the rear end. First complaint was parking, it was a block and a half away. My second complaint was there is a club in the lobby of the hotel and all night you could hear the music perfectly. It was two nights of not being able to sleep at all. The beds were made but the room being clean it was not. Grand Ocean Hotel the only thing Grand was the headache I had from listening to loud music and drunks all night long from the club in the lobby.

The room was clean, with nothing special. No coffepot but there is coffee downstairs every morning which was great. The attached restaurant has some really great she crab soup. I was just looking for a couple days of quiet get away on the ocean and that is what I recieved. A no frills hotel, but it was a good price and served the purpose that I needed.

I would say there was a lack of understanding what the task of is of a hotel......is'nt it to please the customer????? ...well not the case here...the staff was rude...not very helpful...it was off season I doubt if there were ten folks in the hotel....I found body hair throughout the bathroom...the soap was crumbly and insufficient...after one shower it disappeared....the shampoo was like dishwater soap..the key card had to be utilized three times to force the older style door locks to work....the outside hallway & elevator was colder than outside....the bearings in the dual heater / air conditioner were extremely noisy...the hotel was dirty and had major corrosion issues from the ocean air moisture...maintenance was being conducted above my room at 7:30 a.m. with hammering all day...no knowledge of this was informed to me when I checked in..LOL.....the body hair is always a major turn off...but on the brigher side the TV worked...I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.....one last thing could not stand on the balcony over looking the ocean becuase the floor was flooded becuase of a horrible upgraded concrete project and the sliding glass door was so dirty it had a dirt glare haze like your windshield gets with road salt..........GRAND OCEAN HOTEL ONE STAR RATING...POORLY RUN! THEY CERTAINLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE SCOPE OF RUNNING A HOTEL>>>>LOL

I do not recommend it. The hotel needs to improve its services. The online pictures do not reflect the reality of this hotel.

nice for a getaway weekend. walking distance of everything you could want.

This room was Horrible .There was mildew on ceiling in our room . the outlets were falling out of the wall the stand the television was on was so sticky.The bar stays open late and of course there was a band and we were right above it . I ask if I could upgrade the room or anything and they said no becauseof not being booked threw them . There for I will not ever stay at this hotel again .

To all travelers stay away from this hotel, while looks can be deceiving on the outsided, the inside is terrible. From the moment I arrived I should of known what was to be expected when a guy came out to the desk, and his shirt was stained very horribly and dirty. When i checked in I was not given the room I signed up for on a travel site which stated a oceanfront room, very clean, wonderful views ,etc. Instead I was given what the hotel ,called a partial view, my view consisted of the parking lot and right in front of our balconey was a ugly rusted roof in a triangle pattern blocking my view. If I wanted to have that view I could of saved 5 hours driving time and hundreds of dollars and stayed home. When I called the travel site to complain, they called the hotel to see if I could get the room I payed for and the hotel manager refused to accept the travel sites calls. The hotel staff was very rude, our room was not cleaned the whole time we were there. The air conditioning was so noisy you had to speak very loudly to hear one another over it, or turn it off completely and be hot. Then the elevator broke down, and we had no knowledge of this until you went an asked at the front desk, and they said theres stairs, I mean could someone not take 10 seconds to put a sign up? So as guests were leaving we had to carry everything down the stairs, and make multiple trips due to this. I will never stay at this hotel again, not even if you payed me, I plan on telling all friends about this hotel, and hopefully they will learn to treat their guests better.

this hotel is horrible! to start off, the elevator was broken so we had to use the stairs for 3 days. we requested for another room but they kept saying the other rooms werent clean yet. parking is off site, hotel staff did not have uniforms so that was confusing, sliding door going to the balcony was broken and couldnt be locked, several lights were out and the lamp shades were filthy and no one cleaned our room the following day. they just changed the towels and thats it!

This hotel is nice, but is in need of many repairs. Our tub faucet handle kept falling off. Only one elevator was working and it was apparent that the other had been out of order for some time. It took us almost 15 minutes to get from the 7th floor to the first. We really missed an in room coffee pot. The value of this hotel is alright, and since we don't stay in the room anyway we will most likely return if we vacation that way again.

Not great, Next time I will stay somewhere else. needs something.
