The Blue Marlin

The Blue Marlin was the perfect fit for our vacation! The price was very affordable and well worth it. If they continue to keep up the great work we will surely stay here again. The beach was literally a walk across the street, near shops and restaurants, with on site parking. The rooms were newly remodeled, clean, and had tile floors which put us at ease, due to the ability to be thoroughly cleaned between guests. The owners were very nice and it was obvious that the profits they made went straight back to improving the hotel. It looks a little rough from the outside, but most definitely a nice place to stay.

the room was nice. BUTTT the air, the fridge, and the clock and the microwave did not work at first. I told front desk and they did come and check it out. They got the air working but the fridge just didn't get cool at all. Then when I awoke that morning, there was no electricity.

It was ok. the second building looks very run down. not as clean as i would of liked. not very personable staff. would not stay again. couldnt wait to check out.

the hotel exterior looks like it came out of a war zone, the staff had to make numerous calls to see if the room was clean and ready. The room itself was ok. The beds are small and not the most comfy. I cut them some slack since they are a family run place trying to compete with mega hotels. Its close to the beach, and there is a fun bar right beside it. I would probably stay again, if I get the same rate

We went to check in at about 7 p.m., and although the front door was locked and they didn't immediately answer the phone, the front desk woman let us in within 2-3mins. and we were checked in rather quickly. The motel looked a little sketchy, with the old hotel arm chairs sitting outside each room, but the room was surprisingly clean and comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful. Granted, the latch on our door had been broken off (there was a replacement that worked), the bathroom door knob was loose and one of the dresser handles was falling off, but the room and the furniture were modern and pleasing. We were on the 4th floor and we could see the ocean, which was also an unexpected perk. Walking distance from great beach bars, and obviously the beach. We had a good stay!

After checking in at the front desk we went to our room. Upon opening the door we were greeted by two unmade beds and empty beer and wine cooler bottles. We went right back to the office and told them we were leaving. The manager wanted to show us another room but after seeing the first one we weren't interested. The manager stated that he wouldn't refund our deposit because we refused to look at the other room. We called the reservation agent and the agent called the hotel and was told the same thing. I reported the problem with the card company. If the charge appears on my statement I'll lodge a complaint. In the future I will demand to see the room before presenting my card.

A soon as I walked into the office to check-in, I should have known that the price was too good to be true. There was no greeting, not even a smile from the woman at the desk and the pile of old furniture in the parking lot was scary. In our room, there were two hand towels for four adults. The room was not clean and even though we only styayed for one night, it was too long. Everything about this motel was gross - the windows, the elevator panel, the tile floor in the room and the bedspreads. At best, this is a 2-Star Motel, not a 4-Star Hotel.

Well pleased with the remodeled bathroom and room floor. booked 2 rooms for 2 nights - one room was not cleaned out at all next day and other room was only cleaned in the bathroom. Door latches in both rooms were damaged thus a safety issue with toddler who is able to open the door and run out of the room anytime. Storage space is another shortcoming - 2 small drawers. There is no rack to hang up clothes. My daughter considered it as the pits and would not stay there again. I'd stay there again as it is good value and clean room. Noise issue is a major you'll need to take under consideration when staying there. One guy who checked out on my second day commented that I was lucky as the noises in his building was much higher than in ours.

This hotel is at great location just a street over from the beach and right across from 7eleven. The room size was bigger than I expected and good enough size to throw parties. Microwave and huge fridge was a plus. Only bad thing about my room was the television only had 5 channels.
