Surfside Oceanfront Inn and Suites

Nothing to great about the Surfside. In the ad they listed a hot tub. Come to find out that the hot tub in the pool hasn't worked in years and now it's just a small kiddy pool. Very upset with this one of the reasons that i booked here. And for the breakfast was very poor too. No variety and not enough condiments. As for the room it did have a good view. But i think i could have found a better place for the money.

Checked in and checked out immediately. Visible bed bugs between mattress and box spring. YUK

I booked through O****z and had a lot of trepidation regarding the quality of the hotel. I was really pleasantly surprised with the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel and the location was just perfect. We got to watch the sunrise from our bed and had a great time overall! The staff was very courteous and friendly. The room had a microwave and a mini fridge too! We are definitely going back. Could have used a coffee machine in the room though!

My family and I enjoyed our time at the Surfside Hotel. The room had a wonderful view of the beach and ocean. The hotel pool was warm and inviting. The continental breakfast was just OK, with self service waffles, which the lines were was very long, and the other choices were just OK. The staff was a little disappointing, they did not explain the parking very well and the layout of the hotel. But overall Virginia Beach is a wonderful vacation spot and the hotel is in the middle of the boardwalk with convenience to everything there.

The room was okay to meet the purpose for the 4th of July. But, not worth the $800.00 plus for the three days. The room was run down, and the balcony door hard to open rusty. The bathroom need repairs. The hotel staff and cleaning crew is friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast. I have been a regular at the sand castle since 2000. Don't know if they give me 10% staying at the surf side hotel.

The room and staff were very helpful. The only thing I would say is that the floor was not vacumned while we were their.. Other than that the room was confortable and we would have no problem staying their again.

well i know i went during a holiday week but theres never an excuse to go in the room and find two pieces of trash through out the room. Also freaked me out when i lifted one of the two beds there was a bug under the blanket. The staff was very nice. They were a little rude and ridiculous about the check out though. They started knocking at 11. I had asked for late checkout which was 12. They started calling the room at 1212 yelling at us that its after 12. I had a lot of things to carry seeing how it was my vacation. I would have understood had it been 1230. The front people at the check in are very friendly.

$100 a night doesn't get you much anymore so our review has to be read in that light. To begin with, there was a large dumpster parked next to the front entrance to receive the old furniture they are replacing. Not a promising first impression. After they replace all the furniture, they might either renew or at least clean the hallway carpets which are really dingy. On the plus side, the room, including the bath, was seedy but clean and well serviced every day. The breakfast room was adequate. The staff was very polite and attentive. You pays your money and you makes your choice. Our reason for not planning a return to VA Beach is not the hotel, but the incessant, deafening roar of navt fighter jets operating out of Oceana all day long only two or three miles from the beach.

Great Oceanfront hotel right on the boardwalk, staff were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking and decent continental breakfast. Would recommend for a short stay.

Me and my husband came to the beach for a short weekend stay,and for the most part it was a good stay. The worst thing was the parking, very tight, tiny spots...beware if you drive something bigger than a compact car. Also did not enjoy the lack of control over the AC, especially since it was near 100 degrees while we there. You could not control the coldness of the AC, just a knob that said high, medium, low, and off. The room was comfy, but the furniture also seemed outdated. We did appreciate and enjoy the continental breakfast which had a good selection of food. We were also pleased by the staff, all were very friendly and helpful. All in all, a good weekend stay. Would probably go back.
