Seagull Inn Oceanfront

Wow, this hotel is more than the pictures, I thought maybe they just look great but was really glad that we stayed here. This is a family ran hotel and they clean all day long. If you need something they are right there to help you. The rooms are nice and up-to-date. We had a double and there was enough room. Internet works great with no problems, need a meal the hotel has a restaurant right and prices are fair. The pool in fine and hot tub is really hot. Parking is the only down side, but if you leave they have a another area to park. Shops right there on the boardwalk. The best is the sundeck, If the wind is too much at the beach with the sand just go to the sun deck. Really this place is better than others right on the same street with beig names on them.

Seagull is an older motel, but in a perfect location! Located in the heart of Virgina beach on Atlantic Ave. But that was the best part. The parking consists of aprox 20 spaces for 50 or more rooms. (first come first get the space) we parked in their lot two blocks away. Room was clean but nothing special.Great if your just looking for a place to sleep. Value not so great on this one.

The bed was hard as a rock cannot believe how hard it was very uncomfortable. And the staff was not that friendly. The parking is bad they took up two parking spaces for the bikes they were renting and the owner blocked us in when we were leaving to go to dinner. We asked the guy at front desk who car it was and said owner like it was a problem we asked for the car to be moved. I will not stay there again but I was very surprised how clean the rooms are.

I think this hotel is exactly what we expected, so for that matter, it was perfect. The rooms were clean, the staff was great, and it was right on the beach! There are only 2 drawbacks to this hotel. No oceanfront rooms(sharred balcony with ocean view), and parking. As long as you know going in that you will not have a private balcony and have to park across Pacific Ave, you will be fine. When we first got there, I thought uh oh only because we usually stay in more fancy hotels, but not usually trying to stay at the beach front. But we were only in the room to sleep, so it was exactly what we needed. The location allowed for you to get to anything walking, and everything was pleasant. Unless you want to pay more than double, this is what you get on the beach. I was overall very satisfied and would stay again on the same budget.

Great stay for the location and price.The Seagull is close to everything i needed to enjoy the stay at VA beach.The only small issue was being blocked in on check out day due to people parking their cars in front of mine and others who were ready to leave and leaving them,one of the vehicles was an employees!I think that could of been handled a little better.The room service staff was awesome!Over all a Great stay!

Hotel is near plenty of stores. Rooms were ok. Hotel did not have enough parking spaces. Pancake house across the street was too expensive.

This hotel room was clean and had a wonderful view of the ocean. Parking on the premises is limited but additional parking is only two blocks away. The basic amenities are provided, but no fitness center there. Bike rentals are provided onsite w/discount for guests. This hotel puts you in the center of many activities. If you enjoy the beach then you're just a few hundred feet away! The staff was courteous and responsive to our needs. I read some negative reviews about this hotel, but at my wife's urging booked a room. I am glad we ignored those reviews.

My boyfriend and I stayed two nights in the hotel just to get away for a bit and enjoy the ocean. The best thing about the hotel was it was right on the beach. The room was average but clean. The parking sucked, there was limited spaces at the hotel and we had to park a block and a half away at their other lot. we ate at the hotel restraunt and the food was a little pricey but good. Over all it was a decent experience however in my opinion there was not much to do along the boardwalk and it seems like there was the same 5 stores every block. Went to ocean city last year and if I had to choose between virginia beach and ocean city I would definately choose ocean city. It was a lot nicer in ocean city and a lot more to do.

I chose the Seagull Inn because it was one of the least expensive oceanfront options I could find. When it comes to hotels on the beach, I'm very easy to please. So long as I get an oceanfront view and can enjoy the sea air and hear the waves (and the place isn't over-run with bugs) I'm happy. However, this place really tried my patience. The thing that bothered me the most was, while there was a nice big window in the room, it didn't open. I understand that maybe they don't want people falling out of windows, but the room was quite stuffy, and the ocean is RIGHT THERE, but you can't take advantage of the wonderful breeze. It's maddening and made me not want to spend a moment in the room. Also, there are 2 parking lots, and the one at the actual hotel is tiny, fills up immediately. The overflow lot is 2 blocks away, and you have to cross busy Pacific Ave, which is tricky enough without luggage. Finally, I found the front desk staff rather rude. I know working at a hotel might not be the mostly thrilling job, but at least pretend like you don't hate your life. I will not be coming back here, there are much better options (Oceanfront Inn).
