Ocean Beach Club

The place was not a real hotel it was a time share the tv was very old and the place was not clean it was nosiy no real resturant the bar was outside only it seem like teenagers were running the place. Not any real interest in service! will not stay again.

I thought I would go a little higher in my pricing at $150.00. I would have stayed at the hampton inn in VA beach for less and much better accommodations. They required a photo ID at check in, however, when I tried to check in, a person with a different name was going my room. They could not provide a receipt in my name for my accounting purposes, because they said they could not unbook the other guy. Parking was a block away and an automatic 7.00 fee, no Valet offered. The room was dated, and the bedding was old and appeared maintained poorly. The outer spread had hairs all over the cover. Upon checkout I was given the receipt with the other guy's name on it and told there was nothing they could do. No offers to attempt to capture my future business, I will not be back.

First, the value was fantastic for staying at this nice property on the ocean. I can only speak based on the time of year. Hotel was virtually empty as was entire beach community because it was out of their season. At check in, the front desk person was courteous and nice. She mentioned she was going to authorize $245 on my credit card. This concerned me because I prepaid through a third party. She said, i have no record that you paid. She said let's just get you checked in and we can worry about it in the morning. It's late, lets get you settled in. (basically brushed me off) I checked in, went to the room and dropped my stuff off. This didn't settle with me so i went to the business center pulled up my reciept and took it to the desk. The girl that had checked me in had left. She was off. This was 5-10 minutes after I checked in. I looked at my watch, it was 11:05. It all made sense, she brushed me off cause she was at the end of her shift. What I assumed was the night auditor took my reciept, looked up my information and said, "I'm sorry Mr Rhoads, I will take care of this. If for some reason I can't, I will get with the manager when they arrive in the morning to resolve it." Seemed fair to me. When I returned to the hotel the folling afternoon, I had a message on the in room phone from the Manager apologizing and that she had taken care of it. PERFECT! Next morning, I checked out and went to the desk and referenced the authorization still on my credit card. The person checking me out said, "well, that some times takes up to three busines days to release." Here is where my issue is. The card should have never been "authorized" for $245! Now MY MONEY, isn't available for 3 business days? You see my disappointment, I am sure. Additonally, this hotel did not have a dedicated business center. I had to go to a adjacent property to use the business center. All in all, this was not something that would keep me from staying at this property again there were jus some inconviences. Thank You!

Hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful but you miss the simple things while staying- you have to pay per day to park and you also have to pay per day for the internet. there is no room service so you must leave the hotel to get food so no lazy nights. Not the worst but certainly in the future will not be my first pick.

Beautiful facility and Perfectly located. Only issue I had was my room key did not work one of the nights I got in, and had to be reset (twice).. Other than that I would happily stay here again.

Nice location right on the beach, near the center of the beachfront. Kind of expensive. Bad pillows. Nice view. Tropical trees and lights provide a nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff. You gotta pay 7 dollars a day for parking across the street in a garage.

This hotel is a beautiful, clean, beach front hotel. It has everything you want. There is three pools, one is a kids pool and one is a covered adults only pool with a hot tub. After swimming in the evening at the adult pool, my husband and I sat at the gas fire pit located just outside the pool. All the lounge chairs are top of the line, cushioned and clean. In the evenings we would walk the boardwalk down to Neptune Park and enjoy live music and fireworks. We visited the aquarium on a rainy day. I really enjoyed the Imax theater. The best part of my trip was the Rudee Dolphin watch boat ride! For a very cheap fee they take you out for an hour and a half and you see tons of Dolphins and their babies. (You can see the dolphins in the morning from your room balcony too!) This was our first time to Virginia Beach and I am so glad I chose this hotel. When you walk down the boardwalk you are not going to pass your hotel. It is the nicest one and it stands out!

We could only stay in our original room the first two nights and had to change to a different room for the last night we were there. We did receive a gift certificate for the inconvenience, but it was unsettling to have to change rooms in the midst of the wedding activities. No explanation was given for why we had to change. The staff did try to keep accommodate us as much as possible.

great hotel, modern, sophisticated, clean, love the location. The only 2 downfalls are 1. terrible customer service and 2. standard 1 queen bedroom is very small.

This hotel is very overrated. We were extremely disappointed in our stay, the room was not as promised at all. We paid for and were told that is was ocean view, we even called directly to the hotel weeks prior to ask and were told that there was a balcony with chairs and a ocean view....our room in reality was on the city side with a door open to a standing room only pie shaped balcony that if you leaned over to the left you could look between the buildings and see the ocean. Our room was not clean, it was old looking and the carpet was stained. When we complained we were told that the hotel was full, howver the vacancy sign was up the entire time we were there.
