Took the girlfriend for a weekend getaway, hotel was in a great location next to all the little shops and on the boardwalk. Great place. Rooms were very clean. Will be going again in a couple weeks.

Very happy beach bum
Great stay, great staff
This was a great choice! The breakfast was awesome every day! Not just bagels and coffee, but eggs, sausage, waffles, home fries, and coffee and tea available all day. The staff was so friendly and I felt safe leaving valuables while I was out. The beds are cozy and the location is perfect! My only complaint was that there was no dresser for our things! Also the housekeeping staff sometimes came very late to clean which was a bit annoying. However, I will definitely recommend this room to anyone looking for a nice stay while at the beach!!

Ocean view
Staff was very friendly and it is located in a great location. Plenty of food choices and great view from the beach and all rooms are ocean front. Have stayed twice at this location and look forward to returning next year.

Could Use Customer Service Training
This was my first stay at a Hampton Inn. While the hotel was plesant enough I would not stay there again. I was offered no help with my bags even though I was a woman traveling alone with a young son. I had to bring my bags into the hotel and up to my room by myself which meant I had to make a few trips. I wasn't even offered help. The room was much smaller than it appears in their advertising. The cleaning staff was actually more welcoming and friendly than the front desk staff. The breakfast area was always crowded with cramped seating. I could go on but what would be the point. But then I guess its true--you get what you pay for. Virginia Beach Resort Hotel-- I'm coming home!!!!

Ok if you never go to sleep
Nice view, but bed was hard as a rock and free internet was only available in the lobby and didn't work anyway.

Overview of hotel
Usually I prefer to stay at Hampton hotels during business travel, but at this time I was disappointed, because poor service (I left room at 9:00 am and comeback afternoon – room still unclean; I believed bed sheets remained unchanged during my 5-day stay; I didn't received complete and proper quantity of supplies – bath towels, toilet paper, cups etc…) Also, hotel has very small pool.

Fantastic
The location was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved that coffee was available 24 hrs.(there was also tea and hot chocolate). We were able to set on balcony and enjoy the fire works. Loved being able to get right on the beach.The view was awesome. Also liked that there were plenty of towels.Beds were comfortable and the air worked great.Our nexted trip down we will book this hotel.

Awesome Getaway
We enjoyed being in an oceanfront room so that we could see and hear the ocean when we were not on the beach.

fantastic family getaway.
My personal experience at the hotel was highly pleasant. The staff was really kind and professional. Everything from the breakfast to the room service was nothing but wonderful.
