Great location, great breakfast
This is a GREAT Oceanfront Hotel! FREE parking, FREE wifi, and FREE EXCELLENT breakfast!! We were really impressed by the breakfast and that the choices were different every day! The breakfast staff was EXTREMELY friendly!! The hotel is just steps from the beautiful sandy beach! And just 2 minutes from Catch 31, which turned out to be our favorite restaurant! Bike Rental right outside the door! The only thing I wished was that the pool was outdoor (not next to the lobby), but we enjoyed the hottub on a chilly day. Great location, although South location looked very nice too if you have kids, as it is closer to a larger playground on the beach, and entertainment (surfing competition, art vendors etc) were on South side. But I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone!!!

Nice Location
Very good location. Since I was just staying a couple of days, I didn't really care about most things except it being clean,and it was. At night, the area gets pretty rowdy, but it's fun being by the beach with all the night life.

Nice hotel in a good spot on the strip
It appeared that the hotel had a recent upgrade. The bathroom sink and shelving was new and the hallway carpet as well. The desk and cleaning desk were all friendly and helpful. The one 'ding' would be that the restaurant does offer room service but it wasn't clearly stated in the room reference material. Also it was difficult finding the phone # to call for the restaurant.

Great Couple Getaway
Very nice Hotel. OceanFront was just Awesome and Beautiful ... All Employee's were very pleasant and Helpful ... Pool was a bit cool but the Jacuzzi was very Relaxing.... Breakfast was very good and a great selection of Foods and Drinks... would stay there again very nice and very quiet after hours say from 11pm and on....Thanks for a wonderful stay.....

Clean, quiet, great location.
This was our first trip to Virginia Beach, and our choice of the Hampton Inn Oceanfront North was on a whim.. but boy did we luck out. The room had everything we wanted.. a balcony with an ocean view, our very own jacuzzi tub, and a big fluffy king size bed. That's what we knew going in.. but we were thrilled when we got there when we discovered that it's also in a perfect location on the north end of the boardwalk. After having seen much of the area, it became clear that this particular area is one of the nicest, least seedy spots in the city. There are several shops, a Ben & Jerry's and a Starbucks right across the street. Speaking of food, the complimentary breakfast was great, with above-average scrambled eggs, sausage and waffle makers. The staff were also friendly and helpful, and the lobby always smelled really good. We couldn't quite put our finger on the scent.. see if you can identify it when you get there. There's really nothing bad I can say about the place. Watch your toes when you're stepping out on the balcony, is all.

The culinary highlight of our trip was a place called Tautog's, just off the main drag of Atlantic Avenue on 23rd street. It's an unassuming place with no signs or anything. You could almost mistake it for a beach house. This lends it certain feel that is hard to find in a touristy area like Virginia Beach. When eating at Tautog's you feel like you've found a place that only the locals know about.

Oceanfront room at very affordable price
Great location in Virginia Beach, confortable oceanfront room with breakfast included at really reasonable price!! I will seriously consider to go back to this hotel next time in Virginia Beach!!
