Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront

Price was cheap since it was kind of out of season for this northern beach, but we still were able to spend the day in the sun, and the ocean was right out of our window. Would recommend this to anyone.

Overall, this was a great motel. They have continental breakfast which is a plus. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect also. Walking distance to the beach shops and restaurants. I would not recommend going the first couple of weeks in June. From what I found out; school is not out until mid June, so most places we went to were very short on help (such as the beach stores, ice cream shops, restaraunts). We drove to Williamsburg two different days and the traffic was horrendous! It took us almost 2 hours to return to the beach on one of those days. I don't know if it was the time of year of if it is always this way?? We had a couple of real chilly days so we went to the mall one day, which was only a short distance away. The mall was very nice. Not a lot of restaurant choices and none were anything to brag about; so don't come expecting great seafood. Overall....I would recommend this hotel.

My wife and I were looking for an inexpensive trip for our first anniversary, and she wanted to go to the beach. Obviously a beach trip in January didn't mean swimming and sunbathing, but neither of us were particularly interested in that anyway. I chose to spend more at the Fairfield than another place I looked because the photos looked much better. I'm not sure if we got a different type of room than was in the photo, but don't let them fool you into thinking all the rooms look like that. All I mean was that I thought we were getting a suite, but the room we got was a single room. That's the only reason I dinged the "amenities" category (not quite false advertising, but it wasn't what I thought I was buying). The location is great. Two blocks from the highway, basically smack-dab in the middle of the boardwalk. Walking distance from almost any kind of food you'd want. Note: if you go to Virginia Beach in the off season, you will find it's nearly a ghost town. I'd recommend taking some time to drive around in the daylight to see what's there if you've got plans to do a lot of walking anyway. Many of the restaurants the hotel has cards for are closed in the winter. I'm curious to see what the prices are like in the summer, but both of us said we'd definitely come back if we want a winter trip again.

This was only an overnight staty in Virginia Beach for an event. I read all the reviews of the surrounding Hotels before selecting this one. I'm glad we did. 5 minutes to Check in. Everything met out expectations. Receptionist was very friendly, courteous, Room was clean; we slept good! I'd recommend including a DVD player to the HD TV now!

Great view...Great service...Great location

Had a great time on the beach with the family. Rented bikes and rode up and down the ocean to see the city of Virginia Beach. Had a great week of fun and food. Ate some great food at Dough Boys on 17th street I think. Stay away from Johnny Mananas, rip off artists.

We spent one night for an event at the convention center at Virgina Beach. The location was excellent, the hotel was nice and we took advantage of the free breakfast the next morning. We would stay again.

We had never stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites at Virginia Beach before [...]. I must say I was concerned! To my surprise, we really did get a great king room, ocean front for a super discounted rate! We plan to make another trip there in the near future! The location of the hotel was great, the room was clean, a nice breakfast was provided by the hotel. Checking in and out was a snap, many nice resturants were within walking distance of the hotel. We can't wait to go back!

Check in and check out was a breeze , the only problem we had was the breakfast buffet was crowded and not enough seating.The food was very good as was the room and the service.

Beautiful hotel with nice pool and hot tub. Small fitness center but treadmills face floor to ceiling windows with fantastic ocean views! FREE internet (most of the motels have access but do charge!!) Bed comfy and oceanfront balcony seals the deal.
