Econo Lodge Inn & Suites I-64 & US 13

It was a uncomfortable stay. It felt like I was a bother to the staff, there was dried urine on the toilet in the room and the people who actually lived at the hotel made things fell awkward. Will not stay again and would pay a little more at another hotel.

The only thing I did was sleep and shower there. There are absolutely no attractive amenities on or around this hotel property. It would have been extremely accommodating if there was an elevator on the premises, working vending machines and a pool. I guess asking for a pool would be too for this property. The refrigerator in the room did not get cold enough; the iron did not properly work. Coffee grinds was included in the room, but a coffee maker was not. Go figure. There were 3 sitting chairs in the room that were old and dirty. I could not bring myself to sit in either of them for five minutes. There was an OLD Jacuzzi in the bathroom, but it was fifty! Plus you have to raise your leg about 3 ft in the air just to get in. I am surprise I did not fall and break my neck! The hand soap was cheap and off brand and of poor quality. The stair cases were dirty and smelled of urine, liquor and cigarettes. The guests in the rooms next to me were uncouth and loud all night long. All I heard was people coming in and out those rooms all night. This hotel claim to provide continental breakfast in the lobby, but were people going to sit to eat their food? The dining area was the size of a closet. This is by FAR the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I knew that I was not staying at a five star hotel before booking this room, but I did expect for this hotel to be decent and inviting. I will never stay here again.

Motel was under major rennovation due to water damage. Staff and construction crew were rude and unhelpful. Room and linens disgusting. 5 minutes after entering the room, we left the keys on the bed and went to another hotel.

I picked this hotel because it was an inexpensive room close to my house for my mother and aunt to stay in for an unexpected visit. Upon arrival there were no handicap rooms and the room they put them in was odiferous. The first of the 2 beds was broken. Maintenance came to fix the bed but it was lopsided for the rest of the stay. My mother and aunt both being older in years aren't able to move around well and opted not to move all of their belongings to another place and stayed. Due to renovations there was no breakfast area and the room they assigned them had mold in the tub. We will never stay at this site again. [...] At least here They had the option to spend their time at my house.[...] Thanks for your interest in the trip.

Upon arrival I was charged an additional $3.50 [...]. Upon getting to the 3rd floor with all my luggage it was discovered the room was never cleaned. Luckily a guest next door let me use the phone. The maintenance worker arrived quickly & found me another room. Other then the extra charge & the unclean 1st room, the experience was good. Very comfortable bed & extremely friendly staff. Some guests were noisy but the noise quieted down prior to 12:00am. This one was worth the price.

I was very disapointed with our stay here. When we checked in our air conditioner didn't work. He did change our room after finding out the ac didn't work(by then, though, I had everything unpacked and put away so I had to pack everything up and move to the new room. When we pulled in to park there was 3 guys in the parking lot on their phones and that happened every day we were there, with as many as 6-7 guys day and night. Every night above us there was a bunch of kids that were very loud and screaming and yelling and running up and down the steps and hallways. One night it was 1 in the morning and a guy with just a pair of cut-offs on was knocking on our door and every other door looking for someone. We pulled in one night and there was 2 vehicles full of people parked in the drivethru on the backside of the hotel. I was very concerned. The young guy working the counter on the first Sunday night was very arrogant. We had a hard time with finding a parking spot. I killed 2 bugs in our room. I plan on emailing Econ-o-lodge about this.

This hotel is pretty much what you paid for and more. The room was clean, the staff were very friendly. We called them from our car constantly asking for directions to the beach as well as other areas found in our visitor brochure. They never got snooty or annoyed with us. I must add that a car is very necessary if you stay at this hotel. Va. beach was about a 15minute drive from there. I must add that Target and Walmart was a 3mintue drive away from hotel. Also, there's a steakhouse and pancake house next door . The food was really good :) In the end, this hotel was suitable for rest and shower, not for amenities aside from shopping-Target and Walmart being nearby.

We were looking for something close the beach and fairly cheap. The rooms were in the process of being renivated so the new furniture was nice. Really close to the road though, so we were woken up early in the morning by a car back firing. We were happy enough though, we just needed a place to sleep and keep our things while we went to the beach!
