VERY NICE HOTEL!!
This was my 1st time to Va Beach and I didn't know what to expect. The hotel was very clean with modern styling. The renovations are almost complete and not of any bother anymore as some had commented. The parking garage is a little tight to fit into. The staff was very friendly and the free breakfast was great as well. I think if I visit again this will be where I stay.

In Hotel
Pier 14 restaurant, attached to the hotel, had good food at reasonable prices. Sand Castle gives breakfast tickets for a free breakfast.

Beautiful beachfront, good breakfast included
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The lobby was bright and beautiful, but the stairwells, parking and rooms were a bit dark. The balcony oceanfront view was nice and there was a refrigerator in the room, which was nice. The front desk employees were friendly and nice as were all of the support staff on the floors. All in all a nice stay. The breakfast was an actual buffet included in the price of the stay.

VA Vacation
Great staff and clean room. Otherwise hotel is being renovated and needs some serious work. Hallways are dark with old tile and carpet. Elevators feel one step away from falling apart. There is no room service and the breakfast buffet/ slash Pier 14 restaurant needs a complete overhaul from it's cheesy 80's decor and terrible set up. Room appeared recently renovated but the fit and finish is terrible, especially in the bathroom where the sink area is too small. There were some nice touches like new furniture, shower head, fridge & micro. For the money it does the trick.

Family Getaway
Even though this hotel is under construction it is a nice place to be. The best part about this hotel is the customer service. Everyone goes out of there way to help you and is really concerned that you are doing ok. Once this hotel is finished being remodeled it is going to be incredible. The breakfast is top notch. We only stayed for one night because we added an extra day to our vacation on the front end and then went to Best Western Plus for the rest of the vacation. We wished we would have stayed at the Sandcastle the entire time.

Great Oceanfront Hotel
Location is everything and the Sandcastle Resort, although undergoing renovation, was everything we expected and more. We were pleasantly surprised to see from our balcony quite a few dolphins frolicking in the ocean, near the pier. And, although the Atlantic Ocean is still rather cold in June, the pool and deck on the 2nd floor were well worth our quick, last-minute, beach getaway. We will definitely go back!

Sand Socceer Weekend
Although the hotel was a bit in disarray due to renovation work being done, there were no major inconveniences, and it's going to look great when they're finished. Room was good size, with two queen beds, but the beds were not all that comfortable. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved that a real breakfast was included in the price every morning.
