Poor Upkeep
The Travelodge Ft Sam Att Center in San Antonio is poorly maintained. Upon arrival there were too few hangars, the safe was locked and it took two days for the staff to find an iron. After our first night the room was not made up at all. On another night the room was made up but there were no towels, soap or shampoo. The Delux Continental Breakfast consisted of a few danish, cereal and coffee. No juice, no toast etc. Trains must pass close by, as periodically through the night you can hear train whistles. No restaurants or shopping is close by.

Not a great place to stay
The hotel is run down, no elevator to the second floor, door handle to my room was so messed up you had to hold it a certain way to get the door open. The deadbolt wouldn't turn and the security bar that you can fold over on the top of the door was totally broke and didn't work. The coffee pot didn't work the whole 3 days I was there and the staff's answer to that was that they had coffee downstairs 24 hrs a day. This hotel is mainly for construction workers because it's cheap and I definitely would not stay there again. Also the internet didn't work for 1 1/2 days and when it did work the signal is so poor you had to find the best place to sit in your room to get the signal. It was not a pleasant experience to stay there and I couldn't wait to get out. It is also not located near any stores or food so if you want something you have to drive 8-9 miles down the road. The staff is friendly but not very knowledgeable to be helpful.

TERRIBLE HOTEL, DON'T EVER STAY HERE!!!!
Terrible hotel. Don't ever stay here. The shower was absolutely disgusting and filthy. We asked for it to be cleaned. It never was. Maid service never cleaned room once in 3 days because we were still in the room when they came by and we left by 9 to 9:30 each morning. We asked for extra pillows and the hotel said it did not have any extras? In the whole hotel? The back door to the hotel did not have a lock on the door at all. Hotel was full of partying kids that left numerous beer cans and trash outside. We rented a 2 room suite and the fan that was supposed to move the air between the 2 suites was so loud you couldn't even hear the TV. Kids were constantly running down the halls and upstairs. This was a complete waste of money. No wonder this place was so cheaply priced. You don't get anything remotely close to your money's worth. Do not ever stay here or you'll waste your money. We tried to order delivery from one of the brochures in the room and was told it would take at least 1 hr and 30 minutes for delivery. Even the delivery companies don't want to make a trip there. Room refrigerator wouldn't keep drinks cold. Don't spend a penny on this place. Broken handles on dresser. The list goes on and on. I have nothing good or positive to say about this place. If you read this and stay here anyway, it's all on you. You've been warned.

Forget Travelodge at FSH ATT Center
internet dropped all the time unless you were in the lobby. AC constantly came on and off. beds/linen very old and lumpy. only 1/2 channels worked on TV and staff wasnt knowledgable on how to fix. Access to hotel can be confusing at first. Continental breakfast is "mud" coffee with stale danishs that abrubtly ends at 930.

BAD!
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. My door had a problem with the handle. The room had a strange smell. I asked for a handicap accessible room and they do not exist. The front desk told me all rooms are the same. The internet never worked. The air conditioner sounded as if you were pouring a glass of water all the time. The tile floor was unstable and cracked. They had recently tried to paint the room and my kids finger paintings on my refrigerator are just as good and if that was not enough I woke this morning with a very large spider bite on my leg. I found the spider's nest in the curtains with hundreds of baby spiders. STAY AWAY!!!! [...]

Since I was unable to check in. And i was unable to get my car rental. All because of my age (19). I had to stay with a random person and the other night at the airport. Other then that it was pretty good

Riverwalk was nice - I highly recommend the boat right through the Riverwalk. Also, the Tower of the Americas was a nice sight.

Bad on all levels
We picked this hotel for it's location near the Alamo and being close enough to Six Flags. We could tell it was going to be bad as soon as we walked in the room. We had the king suite with the pullout sofa. It was dirty and dingy. We asked for linens for the sofa and when we opened the sofa, the cracked mattress fell on the floor. There wasn't a working spring at the foot of the bed. The management said that we should have told them we wanted to use the sofa and they could have done something else. They provided a foldaway, which was also broken and unusable. The provided breakfast was cereal and danishes-nothing special. The hotel did let us cancel our remaining two nights and we found a Fairfield with the king suite with sofa. That room was about the same price and was fabulous, clean, hot breakfast, and the sofa slept two kids perfectly (and the room had separate TVs). We had a great trip besides the first night.
