Travelodge San Antonio-Alamo/Riverwalk/Conv. Ctr.

VERY nice people in a place which needs some serious updating. The bed was very large and very comfortable. But my bathroom light fixture flickered and blinked for over ten minutes every time I flipped the switch. Eventually, it came all the way on, still dim. The sink had what appeared to be cigarette stains that could not be removed by the staff. Next to the shower, at head height, was a HUGE area of layers of peeling paint, much like the blooms of a large plant!

All things were good but breakfast is too simple and no any change for five days that made me fear of eating it.

My family booked this hotel through a travel agency and when we arrived we were extremely disappointed. This was the most disgusting hotel I've ever been to. The location was nice but still not worth it. The bedrooms were dirty and gross. The worst part was the horrible staff. The manager refused to let us out of the stay without paying for it and argued with us about it for an hour. The cops even came while we were there and they were looking for someone...NOT SAFE. I will never stay at a Travelodge and I'll tell everyone I know not to either. When I called their corporate location to complain they did nothing.

Location fair, long walking distance to convention center. Clean rooms quiet location. Good accomadation for the money.

Good location. Nice staff. Internet slow sometimes but great muffin.

The overall stay was good for the money... A couple p stains on the toilet bowl when we got there. Staff VERY friendly, but possibly understaffed or just not real thorough. The room was pretty fresh smelling. No overwhelming chemical cleaner smell which is common in cheap hotels. The location was close to downtown and there was a bus stop right next to the hotel. I'd recommend this place if you're not high maintenance and you wanna save a buck.

Hotel is right across the street from the Megabus stop, which I needed to be at in the morning. Located a very short walk from lots of good bars and restaurants. Close to riverwalk and only a couple blocks from the Alamo. Room wasn't perfect, but bed was comfortable.

The hotel is not fancy but the rooms are clearn and the hotel is only about six blocks from the Riverwalk area. The breakfast provided is a little more than the normal Continential Breakfast at most other hotels. Here you can get a hot waffle also, fruit and muffins. This is a good stay for the price.

The price was really a big deal, located two blocks from the alamo, breakfast included (not such a good one!), rooms are wide but kinda dirty (somedays it seems that the room was not cleaned, bed was not done), hair dryer didnt worked, toilette was clean but the room needed some fixing, roaches were just outside so you'd better dont leave any food on the room!! smoke rooms (the only available when i arrive) stinks and doesnt have ventilation at all! Bus stops are all arround and mall and river at walking distance.

1. Don't let the name fool you. It is a ten minute walk to the convention center through seedy neigborhoods in the San Antonio heat. Not pleasant. 2. I found a big blob of hair in the pool, not mine. 3. I found some hair in my bed, not mine. 4. The breakfast area was not very clean. 5. Condition of the room was overall shoddy: rips in the carpet, saggy old bed, scuffs on the bedframe, etc.
