What a beautiful hotel! After 9 hour sessions every day, I got a full, restful sleep in a very comfortable bed with lots of pillows under a 12 ft ceiling. Being on the 12th floor kept things very quiet. Convenient to riverwalk. Very little to complain about - parking and high priced food. This is my new fave San Antonio hotel!. Move over St. Anthony!

Daddy Daughter Vacation
I loved the location, very nice hotel, more upgrading was taking place while staying with absolutely no hinderence to our stay. It was actually good to see they care about even making it better!! We were close to the Alamo, the river walk, city walks, and river center mall. Restaurants everywhere. The only complaint I have is pretty picky, and that is that the base of our tub could have been caulked a little better for looks, and the bathroom fan was inoperative, Should of let them know, I'm sure they would have repaired it, but it really wasn't a bother , as for the rest room #509 it was wonderful !! Thanks Emily Morgan Crew!!!

Emily Morgan Hotel
The Hotel is quite a spectacle to behold! The suite was beautiful and the view was incredible. Overlooking the Alamo was amazing. However the hotel is under renovation and I experienced plumbing problems to include water temperature and pressure issues, and the jacuzzi tub did not work. Also, I was awakened multiple times every night by construction noise inside the hotel on the floor above me. The staff was friendly and helpful when I had questions regarding directions and places to see. I would love to stay at the Emily Morgan again after the renovations are complete. I think then I could recommend it to a friend.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
History is rich in and around the Emily Morgan Hotel and much of it is within walking distance. Bring comfortable shoes and a healthy appetite because the dining along the Riverwalk and especially the small local restaurants is fantastic! The weather in late November was perfect. 50's over night 70 during the day!

Wonderful Location
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location could not be better. We were on the 9th floor overlooking the Alamo. Within walking distance to most things, or we took the trolley taxi to others. The hotel was very comfortable with a very unique boutique feel. Loved the design. I was there for business and for pleasure. It was great for both.

Great Hotel
Had a wonderful stay at the Emily Morgan. We were given one of the renovated rooms- very attractive and spacious. The staff were very helpful and nice- breakfast in the restaurant was a little slow. Next to the Alamo and close to the River Walk. All in all, was a great experience- highly recommend the Emily Morgan!

Close to the Alamo, but has very little amenities
While staying at the Emily Morgan, we noticed that all we got was a room. That is it. No special amenities and when it rained (and we were stuck inside) the dish went out and we were left without tv. Then on Saturday morning someone in the room above us started hammering, at 7 am. Not ok for a hotel stay. From day one we had conflict with the staff. When we arrived to check-in no one was at the desk or valet stand. We had to wait over 20 min to get help. Then when we would call for our car, it was never pulled up for us. The claim when you call the front desk for your car, in 10 min your car will be ready. Every time we called, they seemed "to not have gotten" our request. So we had to wait an additional 10 min for our car. We paid over $30 a day for valet and parking, and we never got our car when we called. The location is ideal, but the hotel and staff are lacking.

Trip from TN
The only issue we had was that my husband had a cup of coffee the first morning using the condiments. The used cup was not taken for cleaning, no new cup was left nor new refill of condiments. 2nd morning, he used the other coffee cup, and again no clean cups were left for the remaining trip. We expected clean coffee cups and more condiments. Water kept leaking in bath tub, kept the water running.

A must to see, has it all. With our hotel close by, we should not have gotten a rental car. We could have walked all around. Great informative captain on the river cruise.

Not on the Riverwalk - but that's a good thing!
I stayed here in June 1994 and in June 2012. No ghosts either time. 1994 it was self parking but now it's valet with in & out features. Adjacent to the Alamo and 7 minutes to the Riverwalk, there is plenty to see along the way to all the nightlife while being out the congestion/noise. Great for families/kids. Only 1 elevator out of 4 was working so that became a challenge especially on departure. Nice, clean rooms with a great view of the Alamo.
