Luxurious hotel just a short walk to the River Walk in San Antonio
Some of the 129 rooms at the Riverwalk Plaza Hotel & Suites on the south bank of the River Walk have a balcony, and many offer a view of the river itself, which is just 15 yards away. The fourth floor has a deck laden with teak lounge chairs, palm trees and heated pool. The fitness center nearby has towels, bottled water and plenty of TVs. The business center never gets a rest, as it is open 24 hours and offers printing, fax, notary and courier services, along with computer workstations. The Riverwalk Plaza was among the better hotels
The Riverwalk Plaza was among the better hotels I have stayed in. The room was clean, updated, and comfortable. We arrived late and left early, but we were told they had a fitness room that was open all night. The hotel is right beside the River Walk as well.

Disgusting
We booked and paid for a river front room, but were given a pool view. The room was absolutely disgusting, dirt caked air vents, the bed sheets were beaded, the bathroom was dirty and did not even have a trash can. Every morning we woke up stuffy with a sore throat, that coincidentally went away each day when we left the hotel. We were awoken throughout each night by the sound of running water and flushing toilets. Stay away!!!

This is a very pretty, very historical looking hotel.
This is a very pretty, very historical looking hotel. I enjoyed the staff and the look, but was a little disappointed in the comfort. The bed was as hard as a rock - the leather chairs were better. The overall appearance of the room was good. At little cramped, but good. This hotel is not really on the Riverwalk, it is close, but not on it. I would go back, but ask for a better view.

The staff was helpful and friendly.
The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean. When I asked for extra towels and an extra trash can they were delivered quickly. The room was a little small and the sink was in the bathroom. This was somewhat problematic for 3 women but would be fine for smaller groups. However, the riverwalk was beautiful to walk along. There was no free breakfast, but since we were told that when I called we brought breakfast bars with us. There was a fridge.

Staff of the hotel
The only thing which i can put in my review as a "bad"one is the staff of the hotel. They weren't welcoming at all. They cald us two times for smoking outside the room which wasn't prohibited. The hotel is overally 3 stars.

Good Location
The location was worth the money. Don't expect too much or you'll be disappointed. It's better than a Super 8 and definetly not a Marriott. If all you do is sleep there this should be your choice. You won't break your pocket book for a bed!
