Cat food much?
The "good" The hotel was very easy to find, and check in was quick. Nice fridge/ microwave. It was very cheap and right next to the highway. The staff, if not particularly friendly, was helpful. The bad. It was loud at night. We found cat food all over(I have photos, true story), and the maid did not clean it up either time she came to our room while we were out. Our blankets smelled like urine. The shower was very weak, and generally dirty. The whole room smelled funny, was slightly dirty, and very worn.

Not that great
Staff was very friendly, however when I asked directions to a restaurant, the directions were incorrect. I was disappointed with the continental breakfast, I thought there would be more of a choice then cereal, toast and waffles, coffee was good, OJ was watered down. Bathtub did not drain, it was cold when we got there and the heat did not work very well.

This was NOT a Red Roof Inn!!!
This hotel was awful!! It was falling down and everything was dated, broken, or almost broken. They said "free wi-fi" and it didn't work. We got a better signal coming from the Roadway Inn next door. The bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom faucets were corroded. We almost left right away but figured it would be too much trouble to get a refund. We usually are satisfied with where we stay, but never ever again here!!

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Short drive to down-town Alamo area. We went to a couple of restaurants that were featured on the travel channel & Man vs Food. Lulu's and Big Lou's were both good. If you go to Big Lou's, be sure to go at an off-time. The wait, especially with a big group, is very long. As a couple, we got quick service, but it was obvious other groups were waiting a long time.

filthy room - looked nothing like the photo
I walk into the room and the beds didn't have any bed skirts - you could see old, yellowing box spring mattresses. The microwave was sitting on top of the mini fridge. The TV was old and the tile floor in the bathroom looked as if they had mopped the floor with their dirty feet. The location is EAST SIDE, which is an unsavory part of town. I spent all of 3 minutes in that room before I called the front desk and asked to cancel my reservation. I paid $69 for a two double beds on a Thursday.. the quality and location of this place should be charging about $30 less. I was able to cancel and make a reservation else where.

Not Again
Although the staff were very nice and the location wasn't too bad I will not be staying at this hotel again. I had to have my key reprogram twice and it was very loud outside at night. The pool was completely drain and what they referred to as a playground was one slide on a small piece of grass. I am sorry (because the staff were excellent) that I would not be staying here again.

Bad Experience
The best part about my stay there was checking out and leaving the place behind. I called ahead to make sure there was a pool and that it was open. They said it was open year round. After we checked in we found the EMPTY pool. I was more disappointed in the fact that I was not given my 30% discount on two or more nights stay. The room was incredibly dirty and outdated. The pictures on the website must have been taken years ago. Now everything is run down, stained, and disgusting.
