Red Roof Inn San Antonio Ft. Sam Houston

Room description; water damage; musty; most pictures in danger of falling; coat rack fell; floor board missing and rooted walls; paint chipping of walls; bugs flying around; beds were supported by 2x4's; bathroom tiles missing rust inside of tub; cigarette burns on bathroom sink and in comforter; mirror cracked; mold in coffee maker.

I was unfamiliar with the San Antonio area so I didnt realize the hotel would be located so far from everything. I spent hundreds on taxi fare before I realized there was a shuttle from the hotel to downtown ($5pp each way). The room was really outdated, baseboards were removed and the walls in the bathroom had signs of decay. The sink had cruddy build up around the faucet. The bed was old but comfortable but everytime a guest in the rooms next to mine went in or out my room reverberated from the closing door. The continental breakfast was suppose to be from 6:30am - 9:30am; I arrived one morning at 8:30 and there was only cereal available, another morning I arrived at 6:30 and there was still cereal along with bread for toast, no fruit or doughnuts etc. The staff was friendly.

The room was nice and comfortable. It was very easy to find the hotel. The service was wonderful. I would have liked more of a choice of breakfast. Loved that the room was WIFI compatible.

The Hotel is good for the price.

People noisy and waundering around at night.

The "good" The hotel was very easy to find, and check in was quick. Nice fridge/ microwave. It was very cheap and right next to the highway. The staff, if not particularly friendly, was helpful. The bad. It was loud at night. We found cat food all over(I have photos, true story), and the maid did not clean it up either time she came to our room while we were out. Our blankets smelled like urine. The shower was very weak, and generally dirty. The whole room smelled funny, was slightly dirty, and very worn.

good-most cable channels (but showtime reception was unwatchable), easy I-10 on/off, friendly staff, next to wendy's and gas station/c-store. bad-no yellow pages or business white pages, tv remote didn't work, modest highway noise, pool was closed (daytime highs in low 70's). didn't try the free breakfast. in sum-nothing that bad, but i'd try someplace different next time. i saw 6 value-priced hotels within a mile or two.

I had problems with my room key every time I left the room I had to go to the front desk and get the key re done. It was horrible with a one year.

Hotel was ok free continental breakfast was a bit sad, No bagels, No muffins just old bread and waffels. Bathtub needs cleaning, Staff friendly and helpful with directions on how to get places

It was great. Not far from the River center mall and the alamo. It just took us less than 5 minutes to get there. After awhile me and my husband felt like we were from San Antonio just getting used to the area so much. It was a great 3 day experience with the complimentary breakfast where i fed my kids.
